Question about Lexmark X3480 All-In-One Printer
I have a problem with cover open although it is closed, i am trying to find out where the switch is so that i could close it myself or replace it. Any ideas on where i could pick up schematic diagrams for this model would be appreciated. I did call tech support n they r as useless as i am.
By using the hints of several entries, I located the 'plastic piece' , where it goes, etc. however, I could not get the piece to fit back so I taped the tiny black button and FINALLY!!! it is working again.. by looking at the 'best solution' on this page you can locate the right spot and if you feel inside, on the top is a tiny black lever/raised piece, when it is pushed, the printer instantly reads insert paper, etc. instead of that INSANE cover open..

GD day mate, Im having the same problem except that my printer is a Lexmark X1185 All-in-one printer. Right now, I'm holding the same plastic piece as the one your holding in the picture but I've no idea where it should be or how to dissamble the printer. What did you do to take apart the printer?
