Re: join to video clips

Open movie maker. Open a new project. Now import the two video clips. Place them accordingly... in the storyboard (or timeline) And export it to a new movie, in to your favourite format.

You can use Windows Movie Maker to rotate video clips as it may not be possible in windows media player.

1. Import the video to windows movie maker.
(You may need to convert the video first to .avi , .wmv format
if not supported in WMM).
2. Drag the imported video and drop it onto the time-line..
3. On the Tools menu, click Video Effects.
4. To rotate the video upside down , drag the Rotate 180 video effect and drop it onto the movie on the timeline.
5. On the File menu, click Save Movie File and follow the instructions in the Save Movie Wizard. in windows movie maker.

Cannot import video on windows movie maker.

To import videos on windows movie maker, the videos must be a format that windows movie maker accepts.
For example if I want to import a video in quicktime format "", most likely I won't be able to use it in windows movie maker as .mov files are not compatible.
If you absolutely need to use windows movie maker, you could convert the video files to a compatible format.

Windows Media Player 11 recognizes and plays MPEG-4 just fine but WMM doesn't recognize them. I would like to import some MPEG-4 files into Movie Maker and work with them - is there a codecs or something that allows this?

I'm sure I can find a program to convert MP4 into a format MM will recognize but if possible I'd like to just skip the conversion step and work with MP4 directly in MM.

Movie Maker is not compatible with MP4 files...
best bet would be to convert them to .wmv.

The following freebie might be worth a try:

Format Factory

All to MP4 / 3GP / MPG / AVI / WMV / FLV / SWF.
All to MP3 / WMA / AMR / OGG / AAC / WAV.
All to JPG / BMP / PNG / TIF / ICO / GIF / TGA.

You need some software to convert the protected M4P music file to unprotected MP3, WAV etc first, then you can import the mp3 files into Windows Movie Maker as background music.
TuneClone is such a software to convert the M4P music file to MP3, WAV easily. You can click here to download TuneClone and convert them to MP3 files and then import the music files into Windows Movie Maker project.

TuneClone uses a virtual CD burning technology to simulate the burning and ripping process and can convert M4P files to MP3 without any CD-R disc and do this work quickly. TuneClone installs a virtual CD-RW, it helps you burn any unprotected or DRM protected M4P, M4a, WMA music files onto the virtual CD, rips tracks on the virtual CD, encodes tracks onto MP3, WAV or WMA music files. It can repeat this audio converting procedure until your whole music collection is done.
Since the virtual CD emulates your computer RAM and hard disk as erasable CD-RW drive (Virtual CD-RW), the converting speed is faster than any other m4p to mp3 conversion programs.

Windows Movie Maker is video creating/editing software that is included in recent versions of Microsoft Windows. It contains features such as effects, transitions, titles/credits, audio track, timeline narration, and Auto Movie. New effects and transitions can be made and existing ones can be modified using XML code.

To correct this, you will need to either upgrade the RAM memory in your computer system or close everything off but the Windowes Movie Maker program. I made a few videos during the christmas season and it did the same thing to me. After i closed off all the applications and programs running in the back round, the audio and video stayed in sync. Press the "Ctrl, alt, and delete" buttons on your keyboard all at one time to bring up the "Windows Task Manager" Now, click on "processes' and end the ones you are not using, these programs running in the backround are slowing your computer down causing that lag in your movie maker.
