NAD M15

Problem : Dead

Possible solution : Check for Power Supply

How to Test a Transformer: 7 steps - wikiHow

If these has been done,

• Check amp power supply and low voltage regulators

These includes fuses ( many of them )

Tech Center tells you how to use a multimeter .

• There could be other electronic components but try on them first.

If the torroidal transformer is OK , then it could be a problem on the

Circuit boards.

There could be a shorted components somewhere.

Denon AVR 3805 will not turn on. Have tried resetting it by pressing direct / pure direct buttons but still dead

You will need to open out the set and check from the fuses. If ok check on the secondary supply, if the small transformer has failed, unless this powerrs the microprocesor the main transformer and circuit will not be powered. so use a multimeter to check this voltage to the micro-+5, if there is no supply then you will have to check on this power supply. If the supply is present then check on the mP , the crystal osc. for working. clean any dirt or moisture if present. If not there is a possiblity that this section if faulty. Check this out carefully with a voltage reading on the stages. get help if you are not competent. Hope this helps. Good day

Nad 310 no power

The output should be 24v ac. Sounds like you have a busted transformer. Did you check out the resistor in front of the transformer.

You sound like you know what your talking about so I will not bore you with suff like glass fuses and thermal couples.

Good luck, I have had a few items like this over the years. Sometimes it's just best to send them in to the manufacture. I would look for a replacement transformer. 120v ac to 24v ac around 5 amps. Test it out and see if it works... If not, send it in.

Nad c350 no power at all

Solution if all fuses checked out OK and +/-40V are present on main PCB DC connector from power supply:
Check for +37V and -37V on small sub-power supply PCB - mounted vertically on the main power supply PCB. (next to ribbon cable connector is a layout with voltages.) If the +/-37V are missing check (replace) C501 (0.1uF) on the small power supply PCB for leakage, but also check (replace) R401 (2R2) and R402 (2R2) on the main power supply PCB. Both resistors are fuse-resistors and will have gone open circuit when C501 has gone leaky.

Nad amp failure

Check fuses mounted near transformer . If blown check output transistor. Also check transistor transistors on small heat sink . they will cause fuse to blow.
