the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Yahoo isn't listed as a possible default browser-how do i make it my default browser

Yahoo doesn't offer a browser of their own. You can make it the default homepage of any browser.

Internet Explorer, Firefox (Mozilla), Chrome (by Google) and Opera are browsers most commonly used with Windows. Safari is the Mac OSX/iOS browser.

In Internet Explorer to make a page the default homepage, open the Tools menu. (Click on the Gear icon or Tools (press Alt to show the menu)) Then select Internet Options. In the General tab, you can either set the current page as the default homepage or enter a specific URL to be the homepage. Click Apply to save your changes and click OK. When you restart IE, the listed page will be the homepage.

In Firefox, click Tools and then Options. Under the General Tab, you will be able to enter your homepage choice.

Similar options exist for other browsers but I don't know their toolbars.

If you can't reset the homepage, either malware has been installed or a malware blocker is actively preventing you from changing the homepage. (A malware blocker should pop up with an "I've stopped this action" message. Then you should be able to disable it to change your homepage and then re-enable it.)

I hope this helps.

(Yahoo does have their own IM program but I don't know the program. For Windows, you can select the default program in the Control Panel. For Win7 Start > Control Panel > Programs > Set Default Programs and Set Program Access and Computer Defaults.)

How to stop IE8 from hijacking my homepage settings? Every day when I boot my computer and run IE it has changed my home page to MSN and Bing. I change my home page back to Google and the next day MSN and...

Uninstall "Bing" search engine from "Add/Remove". Then Reset your IE8 back to default settings from the IE 'Tools' ->"Internet Options". Then in the "General" set your homepage back to Google and click OK. Resart your IE8.

If it doen't work, download this utility "HijackThis" run and delete the IE start page, and perform the above again.

Hope it helps.

I received a dell computer from my work but it defaults to their login page. How I can I get it out of that mode so I can reprogram it to default to dell's homepage, or to just get in?

Go too IE, "Internet Options" on the "General Tab" by the picture of the "House" type your preferred address in there, say,, www.google.com, click on apply and restart the IE browser, Now when you open it will go to Google home page. You can them browse to a page you want and in same place, internet Options, use the "Use Current" Tab. and that one will become the homepage.
