Does it matter what crystal i use

Yes. You need to have the same color in both your receiver & your transmitter in order for your RC to work. Both crystals needs to be set to the same frequency. Each color of crystal operates on a slightly different range of the 27 Mhz frequency so the signals don't interfere with each other. That way you can drive your 27 Mhz Rustler with blue crystals and not be affected by your friend who is driving his 27 Mhz Slash with green crystals. Although, if another friend comes along and he also has blue crystals, you won't be able to run your RC's at the same time. The crystal in your receiver will pick up the signal from your transmitter and his since they are the exact same frequency.

At times, one controller operates both cars. How do I fix that and prevent it from happening? Thanks Scott

Look at your radio and or the cars. They will be marked with the radio frequency in which they operate. If both are the same, say 27 MHZ, you will have problems trying to operate them. There should not be any problem if the cars are on a different frequency.

Hi ihave brought helicopter ftw 730 but the remote control was not its own .the helicopter ftw 730 remote control frequency is 40 mhz but the one i have is 27 mhz so how can i make as 40 mhz remote...

Unfortunately you can't. You will need to change the receiver or the transmitter so they are both the same frequency range eg 40mhz or 27mhz. Then you will need to check the crystal is the same frequency for the Transmitter and receiver eg 40.25mhz. NB. you can't put a 27mhz crystal into a 40mhz set or vise versa it won't work.

Will it work with a cb radio

No. CB's operate at the 27 MHz on 22 predetermined frequencies allowed for Citizen Band radios; and your Motorola XV1100 radio is a VHF 150-170 MHz radio with a set amount of built in frequencies to choose from, designed for business use.

New 27 MHZ Helicopter Controller won't turn on

I have a 27Mhz helicoper (looks identical to the one on the picture). I tried to fly it for the first time, but I am having problems controlling it. The left radio control lever sends the helicopter upwards, but the right hand control doesn't seem to do anything and that should make it go backwards and forwards. Can anyone help me as well please?
