Question about LG DLE2532W Electric Dryer
For a while, sometimes instead of starting, the dryer will make a humming sound like it's trying to start. Sometimes it would catch on its own, but now it needs me to rotate the drum to the right in order to start every time. I read one solution for a different model that suggested the motor capacitor, but I can't find that part on the parts list in the repair manual. What needs replacing? The belt seems fine, and all lint has been cleaned from ducts, lint trap and front cover of unit. I am a novice, should I just call the repair service?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

no problem with motor or control board. fault is with the motor capacitor only. this is often attached to the motor or near it. the value of the capacitor will be printed on it (usually about 8uf) and you should be able to source from an electrical spares shop
