So if I understand you correctly when you turn it on you get the oraange light on the front, the sound of the fans turning but no beep and no video output?

If this is correct then you likely have a POST problem (Power On Self Test), the beep you normally hear is conformation that the computer has passed the POST correctly - if you no longer have the POST beep then I suggest you look up your motherboard manual for more info but the basic check is to confirm all the cables and drives are well connected, the RAM is fully and correctly inserted. If you have recently added any new devices to your computer (graphics card or RAM etc) then remove this and see if the POST problem goes away. You may also find in your motherboard manual something labeled CMOS Clear - this will be a jumper (little pins sticking out) of the motherboard which is essentially a reset for the BIOS which may help rule out an issue in the BIOS config.

Good luck!

SOURCE: optiplex gx620 black screen stuck on safe mode

Look at the motherboard (mobo). Failure of motherboards is usually due to breaking capacitors. A few years ago a capacitor company stole the "recipe" for making capacitors from another company and tried to make their own, unfortunately they did not get the ingredients right and the capacitors started breaking after 2-3 years of use. They sold these capacitors at very cheap prices and a lot of computer companies and power supply makers bought them. This is easy to diagnose. Look for capacitors (caps) (they look like little tiny soda cans) on your motherboard (mobo). They should be perfectly flat on top and not bulged or swelling or leaking anything.
You could also try to change out the power supply if you can find another one that fits it.

SOURCE: When I turn on my computer, I can hear the fan

The video on that particular system is integrated in the motherboard. With that being said, I would say that your motherboard is going out. It may have taken a hit from lightening and just did not kill it completely. It's a good looking computer, I would look into another motherboard that has the same specs that yours has. You can get a new motherboard for about $50 USD if you go to www.pricewatch.com and look under MOTHERBOARDS and then look for PROCESSOR TYPE and then ATHLON X2. Hope this helps you.

SOURCE: My computer is a dell

6 Beeps in your Studio XPS 8100 computer indicates Video Card failure.

The Motherboard is unable to detect the Video Card properly or not at all.

Try removing and re-seating the Video Card by following the instructions in the link which opens up the Service Manual of the computer:

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/studio8100/en/index.htm

If the computer still behaves the same way after removing and reseating the Video Card, you may have to get the Video Card replaced...check with Dell about the Warranty and if the computer is still covered under warranty, get the Video Card replaced.

However, if the computer is out of warranty, you can replace the Video Card in the computer with any one of these as per your choice:
ATI Radeon HD 5770

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260

NVIDIA GeForce GTS 240

NVIDIA GeForce GT 220

I cant boot my computer

It is possible that the drive has failed, or the computers power supply has failed, or maybe the memory. Usually when a computer boots, you will hear a beep. if you hear more than the one beep, it will tell you what is causing the problem, let me know how many beeps you hear, if any.

When the computer is plugged in it doesnt work. The datech fan doesnt work. The front of the computer displays an orange light instead of green. If I replace the fan will this correct the problem

Replacing the fan as far as I know should not cause a light change but instead the computer would get hot shutdown every time he got too warm the orange light usually signifies a hardware problem. If you have opened your computer before you might have accidentally disconnected the hard drive or one of the cables from the motherboard. If the hard drive is disconnected that usually will get an orange light or if a ram chip is missing or not in all the way does a computer beep when you turn it on

Pc has power but nothing shows on screen. motherboard doesnt beep once like it used to when turned on but green light is on indicating its ok.

dear,

Remove the ram and check, is the motherboard beeps or not..

it should beep as long beeps....and should continue beeping after serveral times until u switch off it...
then reconnect the ram after swiching off power...

remove the data cables of hdd and cd/dvd and then try to switch it on...
if it works fine then reconnect it properly...

Fault can be in Ram or data cables perhaps...

regards,

hope it will fix the issue so dont forget to rate it...

Lights 3 &4 stay on.

Computer beeping at you is usually a problem with the video card or memory. Try re-seating both and see if you still have the same problem. If you do, individually remove each component and power on to test if the beeps persist.

Nothing comes up on tv when i turn ps3 on and controllers wont connect

Read this very carefully. Turn off your ps3 from the back. Then turn it back on wait unit the light is red. Turn on the system through the front keep holding the power on. You will hear a beep one time that just tell you that the ps3 is powering on keep holding the button until you hear the second beep this will rest your video setting. If that dosnt work call me at sony
