Possibly your oven is on an rcd which it shouldn\'t be coz new elements have a habbit of tripping them coz of moisture in the element best bet is get a technician to come sort it for you coz it\'s a bit of a pain and can be dangerous to get them to work properly

SOURCE: Neff faulty Fan

Hi.
I would not think that both fan and element are faulty, although it is possible.
if it has a timer make sure that it is on manual and not on auto, as this would stop the oven working.
Other possible fault is faulty main oven selector switch.
Hope this helps. Please do not for get feedback .
Thanks.

SOURCE: Element or thermostat - Neff U1721 cooker

Hi there.
It is possible that the element in your oven is faulty again without there being any external evidence that it is so..
To be certain whether it is faulty or not , you really need to test it with a meter, preferably an anologue one with a audible beep to test for continuity.
What you need to do is disconnect the element, and with the meter probes touch the terminals of the element, if it is o/k then the meter will beep, no beep ,element open circuit.

If your meter does not have a beeper, then set it the ohms range, and again test across the element terminals, if it is o/k then the pointer will deflect all the way across, no deflection, element
faulty.
It is doubtful that it will be a faulty thermostat,if the temp indicator light shows, that shows the supply is getting to the element.
If no light , then yes, it could be stat, to test if it is working, switch oven on, and with the element reconnected, test for voltage with the meter set on 240 volt range,no reading, stat faulty or no power between stat and element.
This should help you sort out what has happened.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

The circular element that the fan sits behind heats the oven. Ensure the thermocouple is back in the right place. Too near the element and the oven will stay cool.
Circular elements can be pricey and fitting should cost no more than an hours labour.

How to fit a fan element for a smeg se335ss-5 oven

This tutorial will show you how to check your Smeg element and how to replace your Smeg cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
  1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Smeg manual.
  2. If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
  3. When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

Have beko D533W electric cooker oven not heating up fan still working

Generally speaking, if the fan is working o/k, then it is usually the fan oven element that has failed.
This is usually located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.

My hotpoint cooker blows the mains fuse when the oven gets hot

If it is a fan assisted oven, and the fan is working o/k, then it is probably the oven element insulation resistance thatr is breaking down as it gets hotter, so probably requires a new element fitting.
The element is located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.

FAN NOT WORKING,OVEN NOT GETTING HOT ENOUGH

1 How to change a fan oven element and How to change a cooker oven fan Motor

If you have a electric Cooker or Fan Oven which is not heating it could be one of the following problems.
1, If the
fan motor in the back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the
element you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element, if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit i.e. broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nuts from the rear of the machine.
2, If your fan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven
fan motor is working you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is a little more expensive and a bit more involved.

Fan oven on zanussi electric cooker does not heat up

From symptons, I would say the fan oven element is faulty, more so if the fan is working. Remove inner rear panel of oven and see if element gets warm, let it run for a minute, switch off and feel if element is warm, if not, then replace.the element.
Plz rate this solution.
Thanks.
