You are not going to get good advice about house windows in a Cars and Trucks category.

The problem is not the windows, it is the opening. It is no longer square and that is the real problem. Just replacing the window in a bad opening will not help. You need to square up the window in the opening, probably with shims.

How should I take care of foundation cracks?

Foundation cracks can be a concerning issue, as they may indicate structural problems or water damage. The appropriate care for foundation cracks can vary based on their size and underlying cause. Here are steps you can take:

Assess the Situation:

  1. Size and Type of Cracks: Measure the width and length of the crack. Generally, small, hairline cracks are less concerning than larger, wider ones.
  2. Location: Note the location of the crack - whether it's on an interior or exterior wall, basement, or elsewhere.

Hairline Cracks:

  1. Sealant: For small, hairline cracks, you can use a concrete patch or sealant designed for foundation repair. This helps prevent moisture from entering and worsening the crack.
  2. Follow Manufacturer's Instructions: Ensure you follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the chosen sealant. It typically involves cleaning the area, applying the sealant, and allowing it to dry completely.

Larger Cracks:

  1. Professional Inspection: Larger or wider cracks could indicate more serious issues. It's advisable to consult a professional such as a structural engineer or a foundation repair specialist to inspect the foundation.
  2. Professional Repair: If the crack is deemed a structural concern, the professional might recommend methods such as epoxy injection, carbon fiber strips, or underpinning to reinforce and repair the foundation.

General Tips:

  1. Monitor the Crack: Regularly check the crack's status, especially after heavy rain or changes in weather.
  2. Prevent Water Damage: Ensure your gutters are in good condition and direct water away from the foundation to prevent further damage.

Signs That Warrant Immediate Professional Help:

  • Sudden or Rapid Growth: If the crack grows rapidly, it might indicate a serious issue.
  • Interior Damage: Signs of the crack causing damage inside the house, like doors and windows not closing properly or visible damage on walls, should be addressed promptly.

When to Seek Professional Help:

If you're uncertain about the severity of the crack or its implications, or if you suspect structural damage, it's crucial to get professional advice. Foundation issues are best addressed early to prevent costly repairs in the future and to ensure the safety and stability of your property.
Remember, while some minor cracks can be addressed by DIY solutions, larger or more concerning cracks should be assessed and fixed by experienced professionals to ensure the structural integrity of your home.

We had foundation repair with many cracks in our dry wall. Several places the tape has buckled. Can I reattach that tape or do I have to remove it and start over.

Foundation repair probably resulted in some building movement before, during or after the event, causing the cracks in the drywall and lifting the tape in places. It would be better to removed the tape and begin again...

DAMPNESS IN MY CLOSET NOT NEAR ANY PLUMBING WHAT CAN IT BE

You're in the fixya's car fix section, but it sounds like you have a leak on the side of your house. That's bad. Is the foundation there, or is this above the foundation? Is the floor cement? if so, you may have a cracked foundation, or cracked floor. is there a window nearby? Water has a way of travelling. Even gets things wet that are not close to the window. You should trace this ASAP, cause you know that mould is to follow. Good luck

I need to adjust my clutch but it seems like the adjuster by the pedel wont stay clicked in the spot i want it in

Unfortunately the plastic stock adjuster doesn’t allow for precisely adjusting the clutch cable.
You can purchase an aftermarket adjuster that mounts on the fire wall that enables you to adjust the clutch cable to any position you choose. It also eliminates the rubber grommet on the clutch cable that gives the cable a firmer feel, which improves shifting dramatically.
Steeda, UPR, BBK & Ford Racing all offer one.
Another improvement is to change the plastic adjustable quadrant to an aluminum quadrant eliminating any deflection during hard shifting.

Hope this helps.

How is the linkage from the steering column to the trany. Did it get lined up after the engine and trany was put in? May just need an adjustment. You can also check the connections at your speed sensors. Make sure wires or harnesses didn't get pinched during assembly.

1995 Ford Explorer Clutch problem

make sure the fluid level is full- completely- if that isn't it, you may have air in the lines- if the fluid got slightly low, during shifting it can **** air into the line making shifting hard. After you fill up, pump the clutch a few times before you start the truck. hope that's all it is and not the actual clutch going out.
