Question about Dell Inspiron Computers & Internet
First a question or two. Does the 1720 connect to any other wireless device like a router or remote hard drive? If it does then then problem may be in the Pixma printer. If you do not have a router that also will be a problem. This wireless printer will not work without a router or WAP while the laptop can thru it's 100base-T hardwire connector. If you do have a wireless point then go to the following Cannon website to access the wireless configuration help.
Now is step4 you are instructed to get the name(SSID) and the network key of your wireless hardware. Your wireless hardware may be configured to not broadcast the name so when you reach step7 you may have to enter the name in the address screen.
We hope that this helps. If you have other questions. Please return and post them here.
