SOURCE: Loud noise when clutch is disengaged

Something is locked up underneath, something is preventing your belt from spinning. I recommend going under and inspecting the blade area and also belt area especially if the deck is full of debris. You might even have a frozen bearing or something like that anyhow you need to do a little investigation, pronto buddy. Good Luck

The clutch will not disengage when the pedal is pushed in, it keeps going, the tractor set for a year how do I unstick it?

I would look at the 8n forum as there is a lot of knowledge there.
I never had a clutch stick I guess because my tractors have to work almost everyday.
go here: http://www.ytmag.com/cgi-bin/ntracz.pl?m=fordn
and search out ...stuck clutch...or just ask.
Good luck

John deere 2010 tractor. pto grinds and wont engage

The PTO usually has a clutch that has to be engaged so that you can select the PTO rotation setting. I had a problem like that on my tractor and all it needed was a little adjustment on the PTO clutch lever, so it could disengage the PTO gearbox properly.
