Question about Optoma Pk320 Pk320 Pico Pocket Projector
Hi I'm Andrew from Greece and I have a technical problem with my mini projector. Periodically as it is working the image is turning to purple instead of white. The menu and everything is purple. It was working, it was working normally, the ventilator inside is seemed ok and it is connected with HDMI cable with my laptop. Also I always have the battery and the power adapter connected (battery and power adapter are original accessories). Where can I find a service center to send my projector for maintenance and to fix that problem?
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I'm afraid this is indeed a Mainboard problem that will require either repair or replacement.
You nearest dealer / repairer of Optoma Projectors in Greece is in Athens , details of the company is as follows:
LEC Hellas S.A.
31 Salaminos Street
Tel : +30-210-2851948
They should be able to sort you out mate.
Thanks for using Fixya and good luck !

Make sure that the resolution shown by the projector matches with that of the computer resolution. Many projectors does it automatically.
But if there exists a problem in resolution matching, there is a chance of getting partial picture. So better check that the resolution shown by the projector matches with that of the computer.
Also, the pixel may be degraded due to,
LCDs are really difficult to make so lots of them do actually get passed with dead pixels on them.
But i suggest you to get some advice from the service center too.....
Hope my info solves your problem.
Thanx for using fixya.

HI i had the same problem with my Optoma showing the white grid when turned on, and it is not a problem of the lamp not being good good. Sounds odd, but i removed the lamp. then dropped the projector against a hard surface from say 10 inches from floor, tehen a hard tap on the side, then inserted the lamp back in, turned on the darn thing, and it showed the Optoma logo alright, with 2 vertical stripes, then i removed the lamp again, repeated procedure, and by this time the lines wer gone and i got the projector to work again, including all push buttons on panel (this wasn´t possible when i had that problem. It really worked for me. At least you can try it.
