I have no idea what you are talking about. There is a technology called compression, but I suspect that is not what you really are asking. Please explain so we can help. I suggest NOT using technical language, just plain English.

How can I reset an DF600-RK to factory defaults

Hi, we just got an Hitachi DF600-RK and reset it to factory settings until the next power on like this:
1. shut it down
2. press and hold reset switches on both controllers
3. power up the storage with reset switches pressed.
4. keep the reset switches for something like a minute and then release them
The machine will then bootup with no config loaded, and probabbly with default manufacture admin password.

I'm asking you if you can send us some documentation about this storage, default admin password, anything you have might help us setting it up.

best regards, Catalin (ctipurita(at)

I have buy a new htc p3470 mobile fone.i have a

try a hard reset of your phone:

this will get you back to factory default and take you through wizard for setup.

To perform a hard reset
1. Remove the back cover.
2. Press and hold the SOFT KEYS, then use the stylus to press the RESET
button located below the battery compartment.
3. Release the RESET button, but
continue pressing the SOFT
KEYS until you see this message
on the screen:
4. Release the SOFT KEYS, then
press TALK/SEND to perform the
hard reset, or press any other
button to cancel the reset.
This operation will delete
all your personal data,
and reset all settings
to manufacturer default.
Press Send to restore
manufacturer default, or
press other keys to cancel.
Clear Storage
Another way of clearing the device storage and reset all settings back to
factory default settings is to use the Clear Storage feature. You will lose all
your data and files on the device storage when you use Clear Storage, so
make sure to do a backup first.
Important If Encrypt files placed on storage cards is or was enabled before, then
backup all files from the storage card before using Clear Storage, hard
reset or updating the ROM system software. Otherwise you will no longer
be able to access the encrypted files on the storage card. Use ActiveSync
or Windows Mobile Device Center to transfer files between your storage
card and computer. After the procedure, copy your files back to the
storage card.
1. Tap Start > Settings > System tab > Clear Storage.
2. Enter “1234”, then tap Yes.
Your device restarts and displays the Quick Setup Wizard

Verbatim drive no longer recognized by any of my computers.

It concerns me that you have had other USB storage devices fail on you, it sounds like one of your machines is corrupting the file table of your external storage devices.
BadCopy will be able to help you recover the data off your flashdrive and maybe your other external storgae devices, you can download a copy of BadCopy here:
Can you tell me what antivirus and antimalware programs you are running on your machines?

I'm trying to send a fax, but the machine is not allowing me to type in the recipient's fax no. The display panel reads "File storgae is full. Please wait".

Sounds like your memory is full. Either reset the power or try to take the memory off, there is a button on Panafax machines, then send the fax manually.

File Storgae Error

The best way to solve your problem is to do a hdd format. Use Topacces to backup the data. All data will be lost. Speed dails, e-mail adress, and e-filling data. Switch machine off, hold down 08 and switch machine on. After the beep let go of 08. Enter code 690 and hit start. Leave the machine to run through the format. Switch it off and on again. Note that the network settings will have to be set up again.
