Bat bios checksum problems solve

Step 1:
Update ASUS BIOS b> Insert bootable floppy disk or USB drive. Copy the updated BIOS file to floppy disk or USB drive.
(Note: BIOS file and boot files should fit on a floppy disk. If the BIOS file is too large to fit with boot files, consider using the EZ Flash method described below.) Insert the motherboard support CD into optical drive. Copy AFUDOS.EXE from CD to a floppy disk or USB drive. Reboot. When the DOS prompt appears, type the following: afudos /i[name of BIOS file]For example, "p4c800b.rom" might be the name of the new BIOS file. "afudos
/ip4c800b.rom" is the command that will install it. Wait. Your monitor will display the update's progress with a series of messages: "Reading file," then "Erasing flash," then "Writing flash." The "writing flash" message will be followed with a percentage counter that tells you how far the write has proceeded. The final message will be
"Verifying flash." DO NOT switch off or reboot at any point in this process or you will ruin your motherboard. After the update is complete, the utility will return to the DOS prompt. Remove your floppy disk and reboot. Enter the BIOS Menu and load "Setup Default." Save and reboot. You're finished. b> Update Using EZ Flash Copy your new BIOS files to a floppy disk or USB drive. Reboot. When the system is at POST, press "Alt" + "F2" to enter EZ-Flash. Alternatively, on late model motherboards you may press "Delete" to enter BIOS setup, then access EZ-Flash from the "Tools" option on the navigation bar. (Select Tools > ASUS EZ Flash 2 > YES) Wait for your system to check current BIOS information. Insert your floppy or USB with the new BIOS file. Select the drive letter with the BIOS update file, then select the file. Wait for your system to check the update file. After the file check is finished, click "Yes" to update your BIOS. Wait. Let the update procedure run until it finishes. Do not switch off or reboot or you will ruin your motherboard. When the update is finished, remove the floppy or USB drive and reboot. Enter the BIOS Menu and load "Setup Default." Reboot. You're finished. b> Update Through the Internet If it isn't installed already, install the ASUS Update utility. You can either download it or use the copy on your motherboard's support CD. Close all Windows applications if any are running. Launch the ASUS Update utility from the Windows desktop by clicking "Start>Programs>ASUS>ASUSUpdate>ASUSUpdate." The "ASUS Update" main window will then appear. Select "Update BIOS" from the "Internet option" drop-down menu. Click "Next." Select the ASUS FTP site nearest you, or choose "Auto Select." Click "Next." From the FTP site, select the BIOS version that you wish to download. Click "Next." Start the update. Wait for it to complete.

D946gzis bios.bin file i need pls help

Hi,

You need to update your bios interface and to do so, CLICK HERE. It's a PDF file and all you need to do is to click on the 3rd topic which is for the BIOS Update and what you need to do are as follows:

Updating the BIOS with the Intel® Express

BIOS Update Utility

With the Intel Express BIOS Update utility you can update the system BIOS while in

the Windows environment. The BIOS file is included in an automated update utility

that combines the functionality of the Intel® Flash Memory Update Utility and the ease

of use of Windows-based installation wizards.

To update the BIOS with the Intel Express BIOS Update utility:

1. Go to the Intel World Wide Web site:

http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/

2. Navigate to the D946GZIS page, click "[view] Latest BIOS updates," and select the

Express BIOS Update utility file.

3. Download the file to your hard drive. (You can also save this file to a removable

USB device. This is useful if you are updating the BIOS for multiple identical

systems.)

4. Close all other applications. This step is required. Your system will be rebooted at

the last Express BIOS Update window.

5. Double-click the executable file from the location on your hard drive where it was

saved. This runs the update program.

6. Follow the instructions provided in the dialog boxes to complete the BIOS update.

Hello download your files here:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5NSLI/#download

Download asus update in the utility for 64 bit system
Next download the latest bios
Please unzip the files before you install.

Install asus update and select update bios from file.
This can be done while the system is running.
Select the bios file you have downloaded
and the program does the rest.

Remember to download the right bios.Flashing the bios with a wrong file will damage the mainboard !!!!!!!!!!!!
And you need to set up bios when the job is done (the boot sequence)

Good luck

That is the right procedure. The next step is to type the path of the BIOS file. Have you tried D:\(bios file name)?

First reboot the computer and enter the bios screen. Disable the bios protect...

Then reboot back into the OS (Presumably windows) and download the bios update from the manufacturer website. It will probably be a zip file containg the bios and the flash utility. Unzip the file and you should have a windows and/or DOS flash utility. If not, the utility should be posted on the website. If the utility is Windows, simpy run the utility. It will ask for the location of your bios file. The update utility will do the rest for you. If the program is DOS, the procedure is similar. Move the utility and bios update into your root directory, reboot, and simpy run the program from the command line.

How can i update bios of asrock 775vm800. i have downloaded latest file but can't find flash utility on asrock website. ?

before updating your bios make sure there's a valid reason for it... in other words?
1. have you tried other solutions to the problems you may be having
2. is there something in the updated bios that you currenlty need?
3. is there something actually working poorly on your corrent motherboard or built in controlers, sound, usb devices, network controller etc..

when updating the bios there's a rule of thumb that says "if it's not broken don't fix it".. as it may create real problems you may not be able to revert back.

as per installation.. the package with the bios update is an executable file (???.exe) that may come prepackaged in a compressed file (???.rar)... download the file and then use WINRAR or WINZIP a program to unpack the ???.rar file for you to access you exectable file (???.exe) inside the .rar file.

hope it works and good luck..
make sure to back up your data as who knows what may happen...
also.. make sure your computer is not shutdown while your updating/flashing the bios.. this may mess up the board completely!
