The staples wont penetrate the paper - they keep bending before they go through the sheets.

Ensure the staples are the correct size. If you check the end of the stapler, at the bit where the staples are bent by being pushed against, there may be 2 different width of rexess for the staple to c go in and be compressed....if it is set to the wide setting change it to the narrow setting. THAT MIGHT CURE IT, IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS TRY BEYING SOME BRAND NEME STAPLES SUCH AS REXEL

The staples go through the material, but don't fasten or close on the back side

This is not a type of stapler that clinches the legs of the staples. There would have to be a lower jaw to do that. Like a desk top stapler has.

You can use about any replacement staples from a D.I.Y. store:
8mm staples or 12mm U-type staples or 10mm T-type nails

Can't get the staples to go in. It's a sears

Pull out the part that loads the staples, turn the gun upside down, put the staples in the bottom of the gun and push the loader back in. It took me awhile to realize that you don't load them on the piece that pulls out of the gun.
Cheers.

Arrow et2025Hd staples won't go flush

The material you are putting staples into is too hard for this little staple gun.
You will need a more powerful stapler, such as a staple gun that uses compressed air to drive the staples and where you can adjust the air pressure.

Can't load staples

Fire the stapler with the load chamber open and down, see if anything falls out. Point it in different positions and fire it, just make sure it cannot fire anything at you.

Refilling the staple gun

The staples do not go on the bar you pull back but directly into the bottom once you have pulled the bar back. I was trying to put the staples on the bar at the back and push them into the stapler.
