I have a Danby Premiere 30 pint dehumidifier. It has been running well for one and a half summers in our unfinished basement. I have it hooked up to a hose that drains directly into our basement drain. The water drains out of this hose, however there is also a slow, steady drip coming from the bottom right-hand corner (same side as hose hook-up nossle) of the machine. I have checked the hose (plastic surgical tubing), and it seems to be securely attatched without any leaking. Does it have to do with condensation? The weather has been fluctuating quite a lot lately (20 degrees Celcius one day and 3 degrees the next). Any ideas?

Danby Dehumidifier Model # DDR586R Serial # 6763858666 (only 28 months old) - Does not collect water or starts the compressor (was fine just a week ago). Fan runs fine, display is fine, air filter is clean. Is there some switch/relay that control the compressor that may be bad? Can the compressor control be by-passed (or manually closed) to verify the compressor working condition? Thanks.
