Already have the 7x3.5 shed and was wondering if I can buy 2 extra side panels plus extra roofing if I can convert to a 7x7

if you got it from a local distributor for the shed then extra panels would be no problem
however it you want to make the shed wider then you will also have to make the roof longer to cover the extra side length
the exercise then becomes almost as expensive as buying a new shed the right size
consider selling the existing shed and getting a new bigger shed

Important: This sunroof system is timed from the factory in order to allow the actuator to shut off automatically when the sunroof window reaches a certain position. Use extreme care when removing the actuator from the sunroof module. This may cause the timing to be thrown off. This may damage to the sunroof. Where can I find a replacement roof panel for a Leisure Stronghold 10x8 shed?

Probably not a very good answer since the Owner / Installation Manual for this shed specifically states "do not contact the store....". Instead, follow instructions in the manual and contact US Leisure at 1-877-638-7056. Ext 6. Get ready for voice mail and punch the buttons HE...LL. These people apparently cannot hire folks to run their phones or customer service department. Sat on hold and running buttons in their system for 35 minutes the other day before giving up.

What's the difference between a roof window and a skylight?

Roof windows are designed to be accessed easily and can serve as emergency exits if necessary. They can also open up to a 45 degree angle, allowing fresh air to enter a room. Skylights, on the other hand, often cannot be opened at all and are much less easily accessed, meaning they cannot be used as an emergency exit. Hope this helped.

How do you replace skylights?

Hi,

The steps to replace would be :-

  1. Look over the roof area where the current skylight is located. Will it withstand the replacement of the skylight or is the roof in bad shape as well? Assuming all is well with the roof, continue to 2.
  2. Take measurements of the old skylight footing while you are on the roof. View information on the different types of skylights including size specifications. If you do not have to deal with a change in size, this will be a much easier job.
  3. Choose the type and size of skylight you want to buy. There are factory built and site built units. Factory built skylights are the way you want to go. Factory built skylights will seal to your roof better and offer more protection from severe weather. Purchase it from a website or store.
  4. Remove the old skylight by pulling back the roofing area where the current skylight is set. Use a prybar. Remove any mounting brackets present and take off the skylight. This will expose the hole for the new skylight.
  5. Observe existing roof or attic shafts. These are for the new skylight.
  6. Attach new mounting hardware and insert the new skylight. Make certain you read through the manufacturer's instructions, particularly where it pertains to flashing requirements. Installation instructions will vary widely, depending on the style and brand of skylight you selected. Caulk around the entire base of the skylight. Make sure you have not disturbed anything on the roof (such as shingles) that needs your immediate attention.
  7. Insure that there are no problems where the skylight comes inside the house. Take care of any problems with the ceiling view at this time. Check for leaks and loose connections. Assuming all is well, enjoy your new skylight!
Let me know, if need further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
