Transferring pics My DSC-5335B camera has blown it's usb port and i am trying to transfer the pictures on it's internal memory to a sd card however i only have a french manual and can't read french

Try removing theSD memory card from your camera and inserting the SD memory card into an USBmemory card reader then connect the USB card reader into the USB port of aworking computer. The computer will see this USB card reader and SD memory cardas an external storage device. You can open the camera photo folder and copythe photos to your computer.

You can't transfer pictures from internal memory to a memory card, sorry. You need a USB cable to connect the camera to your computer then you can transfer the pictures to the computer.

Hi, I have the similar s8000fd and I transfer pics from internal memory by taking out the sd card then connect to a spare usb socket on computer, then switch camera on. To transfer pics from internal memory to sd card - leave sd card in, switch on camera (playback mode), press menu, select copy, select 'internal memory to sd card', 'select frame' or 'all frames'. It should say 'copy ok?' Press OK.

Go into the Setup menu and select Copy. This will copy all images in internal memory to the memory stick.

there might not be a way of transferring picture within the camera. However the SD card _should_ have resolved the memory full issue. Plug the camera into a computer with its USB cable. Transfer the pictures to the computer and delete them off the internal memory. Assure that your SD memory card is functional by trying it in another camera or in the slot on a computer.

The best way to download pictures to your PC is with a Card Reader that plugs into a USB port. You take the memory card out of your camera and plug it into the card reader, then plug the card reader into the PC usb port. This keeps you from running down the camera batteries while transferring pictures. You can buy these from just about any drug/discount store. You need to look for "USB Card Reader" and make sure it works with the type card you have. (Compact Flash, SD, Memory Stick, Micro SD...etc.)

try taking the memory card out of camera and slide it into the sd/ms on your computer

Set the image storage setting of the camera to Internal.
Once it is set to internal, put the card in the camera and press review.
Copy the pictures from the internal memory to the card.

do you have the ability to attempt transfering the pictures onto another computer  maybe its just that computer  what type of card reader are you using  is it factory installed or aftermarket try installing a different card and see it you can transfer pictures from your camera to the computer then  maybe its a file type(format)problem  theres what i have good luck   let me know how it goes 

No, the camera needs its own power to power the camera's CPU, USB interface and internal memory. It has to have its own power to communicate properly to your laptop.

However if your camera uses a memory card or stick, you can remove the card/stick and plug it into your laptop and retrieve the pictures that way without using your camera.
