If you have No Channels at all, try your TV from a known good cable feed, (upstairs) or try using a VCR to check the TV's function  If it works upstairs, try entering the Menu, and make sure Cable is selected, it sounds like it may be on the TV or Antenae setting.  This setting is usually in the Channel Select or similar menu.  Change it to Cable and it may help.

I live in a three story house my wii is in the basement and my wireless router is on the second floor should my wii pick up a signal...i tried to hook up with netflix and my wii says cant find connection

Hi.

1. Try using it upstairs on the 2nd floor and if it works there you know its a range issue with the router.
To then solve it you could run a cable from the router down to the basement (which is a bit old school but very effective and guarenteed to work) or get a second router or modem and place it in the basement. (for modem you would need a phoneline in the basement)

2. If it doesn't work upstairs, make sure you have the correct connection information for your network and that your network is broadcasting its SSID. If your network is not broadcasting it is what is known as hidden. This means that you will have to enter all the network information manually by following the prompts on the wii console.

I have a cookwell steamer and want to steam some sweet potato but dont know what intensity and how long to steam it for

Hello,

I also enjoy sweet potatoes very much. My rule of thumb is steam until fork tender.

For whole sweet potatoes, I suggest 20 minutes minimum and checking every 10 minutes unitl fork tender, medium setting.

For cut up sweet potatoes, I would think it would be done in 8-12 minutes depending on the cut size.

Just make sure the steamer doesn't run out of water. I would also suggest grilling sweet potatoes (delicious!).

I hope this helps. Please rate my solution.

It sounds like you have lost the connection with the ISP
Contact your cable provider and see if you can get a reset on the CMTS
They provided. the reset your router. To default and use the software to set up the router for the different wireless device you have by either MAC address or by name. You will have to log into the router to do this. using either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 depending how your manufacturer of the router you have has configured it. You may also ask your provider for assistance for the main computer ( PC).

Connecting to wireless from my basement!

you need to add a repeater or signal booster for reciving signal in basement from uper floor.

My expierince is that whatever roueter you buy doenst matter it will not work properly if you are using wirless on 2 diffrent floors. on a same floor it can work smoothly even having walls.

Home wiring

I don't recommend tampering with any electrical wiring or circuit unless you are experienced and are sure that you know what you are doing...it is very easy to make the situation worse.
First and easiest thing would be to check all of the breakers/fuses in the circuit panel. If they use the old fuses, sometimes its hard to tell if these are blown. If you can't tell that any are blown, you may try replacing them one at a time..there may be one burnt out and hard to tell by looking. The only other thing I'd recommend for an armature would be to get a voltage meter and test the output of each fuse (only if you are confident that you know how to properly). You may be able to isolate a line with no current, which could lead you to a bad fuse/breaker, or a bad circuit in the panel.
Any other troubleshooting in my opinion should be done by someone with electrical experience. Hope this helps.
