Question about ASUS A3H Notebook

1 Answer

Password I just recently bought an asus a3h notebook and i turned it on and boots and tells me to enter password. I am very fustrated as i just paid a great deal of money for this computer and am unable to access it. It is a used computer and the previous owner has lost the paper on which he wrote his codes. When i turn it on it says intel celluron and then it loads to a black screen and asks me for a password. Is there a default password that i could use?

I have an ASUS G1S A1 Gaming laptop that i cannot access. It doesn't tell me anything about a missing password; it just doesn't boot. It's brand new, and the only way I can get it to boot is to go in Safe Mode, restore, and then it will boot.
    thanks, trickster

Well..... It thinks there is a password. Have you tried just pressing the enter key? If so, then you have to reset the CMOS. To do this you will need to disassemble to get to the CMOS battery. I could have a jumper but the easiest method is just to pull the CMOS battery. On older laptops it is a rechargeable battery (nicad or lithum) and on newer ones they use a coin cell battery like desktop computers.

Best of luck, Jim

My Asus A3H laptop will no longer work on battery power - I have put in a new battery and it will still no longer work on battery powr.

Battery contact points might have gone faulty that is why it won't detect the battery connected into it.

Hi, Can you please advice how can I remove keyboard from ASUS A3H laptop. Thanks

First , You have to know that the fact of opening you pc removes warranty!!!

To remove your keyboard , you have to turn your notebook and open it .
Turn screw to the emplacement where it is written a " K " and you have to turn a screw of the ventilation block which is in the same level than the K vice.

After , you turn the notebook, open the screen and with a screwdriver you push a little on the top of the keyboard in order to drag the keyboard to the down.

You can see the clipse system of the keyboard and remove it to put the new keyboard or verify if your keyboard has a good connexion.

When i turn on my Notebook it freezes at the asus logo i can enter my bios but it wont let me boot my recovery cd so if you know how to fix this problem and make my pc work again this would be great thank...

If you can enter the bios setup screen than set your boot priority at boot from CDROM. Save the settings, put in the recovery CD, let the computer start, and it should boot from the CD. If it still does not boot from the CD, than the CDROM drive itself my be the problem. If you had some work done on it recently, then chances are who ever did the work did not connect the CD Drive right, this is just a possible cause of the problem. Or it could be the drive itself is dead.
