Normal 0 How much memory do you have installed in your computer? It may need to be, increased, as this is likely to be the cause of your computer freezing, rebooting, times out, or shutting down.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

Problem installing a genius VideoCam Messenger

Try restarting the computer with the device unplugged, and then when you are in Windows and everything has loaded, plug your Web Cam into a "different" USB port than you originally had it plugged into.

Now the drivers should install your device.

I have just bought a Logitech C200. When I do the install and get to the point where I plug in the USB cable, I get an error saying there was a problem and the device will not work properly. This happened...

make sure you have all the appropriate software.
if you aren't sure: type in logitech c200 software download or similar in google, and you'll find what you miss.

then try to make sure that your usb ports aren't outdated or in need of a change of firmeware so to say.

you can check this under control panel>system>hardware>device manager and look for the usb ports. if you open the menu and after taking look you can see that the firmware is in need of update because it shows, then search for them on the internet. it could also be that when the cam isn't recognised that in the device manager menu you can see a triangular icon with an exlamation point in it to warn you that it's not connected or recognized like supposed to.

I hope this is useful, and greets,

I have just purchased a web cam - labtec usb webcam - it is working but will not connect to msn, can you help

1. Verify your internet connection. If it is possible change your DNS IP Address.

2. Try Updating your MSN messenger >>

A. Enable usb ports on the BIOS.
1. Do not plug in your device right away. Install all drivers and software first!
2. Reboot
3. Plug the power or turn on your USB Device
4. Plug in the USB Port.
5. Windows Will detect the Device Automatically.

Hope this helps Please vote

I have a pro 4000 logitech webcam

1) One of your USB devices have faulted, or is causing a resource conflict (or similar)
-- Remove all USB devices, and reboot.

2) Your USB chip/ports have been damaged.
-- Find a spare HardDisk or bacjup your data and re-install Windows and see how that goes.

3) Your Power Supply Unit (PSU) isnt supplying enough power to your PC (usually caused by a Video card upgrade). Try a more powerful PSU ... 400watts should do the trick

4) Bad memory (RAM) can cause wierd problems. run memtest for an hour to make sure your memory is ok

Logitech camera plugged in but still can't recognise device. It always says device not pluged in.

please, note if the USB drivers for logitech were installed when the rest of software was. only as that the motherboard will recognize the webcam.

in the logitech's webcam cd, you'll see a chapter with only USB DRIVERS. if not, you can find them in
it's free registration and easy to use site.

Usb extention lead doesn't work with webcam

So you know the cam is ok and the cable, so you will have to point to the usb port not being able to push enough power through the cable to the camera as it must take a higher voltage than the other cam. Make sure that the other cam software is uninstalled and you have done registry clean in case of conflicts and also try using a different usb port but install the camera with the driver again using the extension in it, aplogies if you did, i am assuming you may have installed the camera directly without the extension cable.
