Apple Language Kit Hebrew 1.0 Full Version for Mac Logo

Hebrew language kit problems

I am using a Hebrew Language kit (version 1.0) on a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.4.11 within a Microsoft word document. The Hebrew jumbles the order of the English around it. Also, the vowels, which should appear below and above the Hebrew consonants space out after the consonants. I have tried downloading a different Unicode Hebrew font (biblical Hebrew SIL), but the same thing happens. How can I fix this problem? Or is there a different Hebrew language kit that i should be using? Thanks, scott

I have done typesetting and websites in Hebrew. It wasn't a lot of fun for me considering I don't speak the language. Word particularly has trouble with it. The best solution I found was putting the English text in a text box. You can hide the borders on the text box and change it to right alignment so that it looks like its just part of the doc and goes from left to right as it should. You can adjust how the Hebrew text wraps around the text boxes also.

I had a much easier time with Hebrew in Quark, haven't tried it in InDesign. And please don't ask me how the design department managed to steal a programmer to work on a 50+ language ad campaign. :D

Can I load the driver/software for my canon MP210 printer onto my OS Macbook pro?

Yes you can but you'll need to install the Mac OsX driver to make it run through your Macbook Pro. You can download the Mac OSX driver from HERE,(open the link and select O.S i.e. Mac OSX and Language and click "submit", the download links will be displayed) it should also be included in the CD that came with the printer.

Let me know if you need further help.

Good Luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I cant not login in too my users i forgot my password

Thank you for contacting Fixya Support, I am glad to assist.

If you are unable to gain access via the password to login to your Mac OS X desktop, you are going to reset your password.

What you will need to do is use the Mac OS X restore (Disk 1) or the Mac OS X installation disk which came with your Macbook Pro.

Now perform this process:

* Insert your install disc
* Reboot your Macbook Pro

* Press the C key on your keyboard and hold until you see the white screen, grey apple, and eventually the spinning gear.

* Release the C key when you see the spinning gear

* When you reach the Mac OS X install environment, click past the language screen.

* From the Installer Menu bar select "Utilities" and then "Reset Password".

* Within the Reset Password utility, select the User Account you need access to.

* Reset the password.

* Quit the Reset Password utility when you have reset and confirmed the new password

* Quit the Installer and restart your Mac..

* At the log in window, enter your username and newly reset password. You should now be able to successfully log in. * I hope this helps.

MacBook Pro Computer not in english

Here's how to switch it:
http://davidtse916.wordpress.com/2007/11/19/changing-the-system-language-in-mac-os-x/

You should be able to find the right things to click on based on their position in the menus, or the icons, which do not change when the languages do.

Ne macbook pro locks up

Hey amandarx8,

That really is not quite enough information to go on. What version of the Mac OS are you using? What MS Office application are you trying to use? Are you running any other applications at the same time you are running the MS Office application? This info will help diagnose your problem.

But to answer your question, lock ups are NOT normal. Make sure you have downloaded and installed any updates from both Microsoft as well as Apple.
