Question about Jeep Vehicle Parts & Accessories
I need one of the gear linkages on my 2006 freelander and i need a diagram of this to be able to explain to the guy i am going to order it from! Can you help me?

loosen up the linkage at the transmission a little,click the linkage i click on the transmission(shift it manually to reverse),put the gear selector in the car in reverse,then tighten the linkage.see if that helps.

A lot of that depends on which transmission you have. There are two different models available. Both of them have internal shift mechanisms. There is no external linkage. I don't know of any easy way to remove it without removing the transmission. After the transmission is removed a top cover holds it all in place. It is held in place by a row of bolts around the cover. There is probably more than linkage problems if the truck won't shift.
