SOURCE: My oven will not heat...

Dean, sounds like your ignitor failed. This is a pretty easy job that you can do by yourself. Usually there is 2 screws in the oven bottom in back that come out. From there you lift the bottom panel out exposing the flame spreader. Remove the flame spreader and the ignitor is sitting right there. This is usually held in with a couple 1/4 in hex screws. The new ignitor will either come with a harness or just wires. You can splice the new one in with ceramic wire nuts or if it has a harness, follow the wiring to where it connects. I find just splicing the new one in is easier. I have 2 part numbers depending on your P-number..0316223 and 3194001. Look them up on the net and see which one matches your ignitor. SOURCE: Oven will not heat past 220 degrees

Check your bake element, I had the exact same problem and found the bake element had burned in half. The broil element comes on during preheat and kicks off at around 220 degrees.

SOURCE: amana ACS3350AS stove temp in oven stays at 100

We had the same problem and it turned out to be a burned out lower heating element. Only the top one was heating and I could never get it over about 150deg or so.

Many GE oven control boards have a relay for the common of the broil and bake elements. This relay is notorious for being the culprit. the electronic control board will need to be replaced. You could check with corecentricsolutions.com to see if the control can be rebuilt. It is much cheaper but you will have to send the board to them for repair.

We have a new GE Range and the signal beeps at about 100 degrees below the temp which we have set . The dealer replaced the sensor and the control circuit, but there was no change.
A service tech from GE came to our house and explained that the new ovens have a bottom heating element which is covered and therefore heats the lower part of the oven more slowly; but the exposed upper element heats more rapidly and the sensor is located near the upper element. We were advised to wait for about 15-20 minutes after the beep before placing the food in the oven. Judging from the number of comments found online, this seems to be a feature of newer ranges.

Had a similar problem. The overheat sensor had failed to the open position and the oven control would light up and you could set the temp, but it would drop to 100 degrees and then go blank.

Electric Oven doen't heat

cdkd, there should be a TC0, on the back of the oven. Thermal cut out. You want to check to see if it is open. You will have to pull the oven out enough that you can remove the back panel cover and check it. The lower and upper oven should have one. It's a very cheap part to replace. If this TCO fails, no heat. Check this first before buying a new board. Catriver..post back.
