Hi,
am using packet tracer 5,and we have got an exercise to create a 50 pc network. the problem i have is i do not know how pcs you can connect to a switch or router. at the moment i have a switch and router for each office. have i added to many switches and routers, and what protocols would be used on a small network. thanks for any help.
um, each switch will have a starting number of open ports, it is best to choose a switch that has enough to start your project, and a few open spares, that can be used later, as you expand the network. switches are sold in a 4 port 8, 16, 24, 48, 64, 128 ports. you can also link two switches, to add more workstations, it would be better to have one switch, with as many open ports as needed, rather than linking. So plan ahead, and leave a few open ports for later upgrades

cannot connect to internet although wi-fi connection is identified. Asks for password for zoom 1353. We don't know password (WEP # didn't do it), and all other attempts (guesses) have failed. How to retrieve password or to change it so we have one to enter when prompted?
