SOURCE: i have qsc amp model noisa500it 2nd channel is not

It is likely that additional components were damaged when the output transistors (2SC5200, 2SA1943) were shorted. Check the driver transistors which preceed the outputs in the circuit as well as resistors in the area. Also, there should be a bias transistor mounted on the heat sink that needs to be checked as well.

Keep us posted,

SOURCE: qsc mx 2000a left channel go into protek mode

Does it do it with nothing connected to the inputs and outputs? If yes, something internal.. anything loose in there (is it moved alot and something could have fallen inside of it)

That sounds like it could be a power supply issue to the main amp board. Possibly a voltage control regulator function issue?

For QSC amps the GX series are not bridgeable. You will have to run one speaker to each channel.

CLIP: red, to the left of each Gain control.

Normal indication: illuminates whenever the amplifier is driven beyond full power. The LED's brightness indicates the amount of distortion. Distortion that causes only brief flashing may not be audible.

During muting, the indicator fully illuminates. This occurs during normal "On-Off" muting.

Abnormal indication:

•Bright red illumination while the amp is being used indicates either thermal muting or a shorted output.

•If the amplifier overheats, the fan will run at full speed, and operation should resume within one minute. Allow the fan to run, and make sure the amplifier ventilation is adequate.

•A shorted or overloaded output circuit will cause excessive Clip flashing and possible overheating.

•If distortion is audible without a Clip indication, the problem is either before or after the amplifier. Check for damaged speakers or overloaded signal source. The amplifier Gain control should be in the upper half of its range to prevent input overload.

The volume goes up by itself - SABA M5115GT

This is due to the signal reception. Some channels are broad casted with strong signal strength. Therefor you will find the audio is louder than other channels. Also, if there is voltage fluctuation/surges/spikes that is also responsible for suddenly increasing the volume. Best is to put a voltage stablizer

CS-800 buzz in channel a

First a couple of questions:

1) Is the level of buzz controlled by the volume control? Based upon your initial post I would think yes.

2)When you say you want to use the other amp as a regular amp, do you mean to drive a single speaker or more?

Loud distortion on Front Channels

Well, the nice thing about the newer amps is that the actual amp circuitry is all contained in a module and you don't have to do much troubleshooting. Just replace the module for that pair of channels. Bad news of course is the modules can be pricey. Should say right on it the part number, order it from mcminone.com or whoever, solder it in, use new conductive grease (many times I think these modules fail because the grease gets old, the module overheats and toasts) and you should be fixya'd
