Is there a black pole sticking out that goes in when you close the door, my Hotpoint freestanding cooker has it on the right hand side, once this is pressed in the fan and heat starts, i had to replace it on my cooker as it went faulty and stopped things working (all I had was the main oven light on, these are usually like a little black box that are situated on the side of the oven just behind the main metal panel on the outside and will normally have 2 pull off spade connectors connected to it.
i don't have the same model as you but hopefully this mig help you.

Hotpoint Fridge freezer FFA74 Freezer Door Will not close

check that the part that the drawers slide into is in its proper position. try lifting up on door to shut. if this works u may have a broken cam riser. or u may be able to put a washer or two on hinge to raise door up for better clearance.

Freezer fan not coming on after clearing ice problem should it come on right away?>

There is a switch that refrigerator door squeeze on when closed. With the door open locate this switch and press it. If the fan comes on, there is nothing wrong with the fan that is how it is suppose to work. If it does not come on then you would have to gain access to the fan and test for voltage at its terminal. If there is voltage then replace the fan. If no voltage then check for broken wires
