I have lost the remote to a panisonic tv/vcr combo PV-C2540. I have tried two differant "universal" remotes. The code's 0250 appears in both manuals for the remotes for panisonic tv's. This code allows channel buttons to work and volume, but I need the menu button to autoprogram it.

Same thing here. My timer light keeps blinking, and I can't get it off without the remote. Is there something I can do to the set in the meantime? Thanks.

Have the panasonic omnivision with vcr. Got the universal remote to turn on and off but can't program the comcast remote. None of the codes work, they are 5-digit, and i have tried the search function over 1.000 times - no luck.

Manually turn the TV on with front panel Power button. Then, with no cassette inserted, hold Play and Rewind buttons on front of the TV for 5 seconds or more. The TV should shut off. Turn it back on and go through the setup procedure. Try the remote and see if it works.

Universal remote may give you few controls like power on-off, FF, REW etc but Menu may not open.
Substitute remote for this Combo is available in and original remote is available in Panasonic Parts under part number LSSQ0374
Same thing goes to your Sharp tv.
