I have a maytag neptune mah6700a. The pump keeps pumping even when there is no water in the bowl. It seems that it is stuck in that position and won't advance

You'll have to find the sensor and switch for this. The sensor may be dirty, the switch may be stuck.

SOURCE: Maytag Neptune MAH4000AWW - pump removal?

I found a screw stuck in mine once. Went to all the trouble to take it out and all apart like you're wanting to do. Then I figured out that if I had just took the flexible line off that feeds it from the tub, I could have pulled the screw out with a magnet. Whatever is in yours may be accessible the same way. If the object is non-magnetic you might use a forcreps or needlenose pliers.

SOURCE: won't stop filling with water

Does the water continue to run when the washer is unplugged from power?  If it does, then there is something stuck in the inlet valve that is keeping it open.  Could be the result of mineral deposits.  If the water stops when unplugged then the water limit switch is defective.  Unlikely since the water still flows when control knob is in off position.

First make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump assembly located inside the bottom of the unit, after this test the lid switch assembly, you jump it to test it. If the lid switch is also fine then the control board should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Maytag front loading washer will not drain...

there could be a few issues, either the evacuation pump is not working or getting power to pump the water out. or the drainage pipe is blocked.
there is also a filter in the bottom of the machine that could be blocked
check the filter is clear, if you remove it be prepaired for a lot of water coming out. check the drainage hose to ensure it is not folded or blocked.

I hope this was useful.

Sometimes you may have a partial blockage in the pump and the water does not completely drain in the given time for the cycle. Here is a link that will show you how to access your pump and clean it out.

Getting all kinds of codes on the washer 1) is nd 2) oe 3) suds what does this all mean it has been happening over the past 2-3 days

You likely need the drain pump cleaned. Unplug and pull the washer out. Remove cover in back. The pump is attached to the washer's floor. Pinch off the hose from tub to pump. There's going to be some water left in the pump and drain hose, so get a large towel ready. Remove screws attaching black piece (motor) to white piece (housing), pull out motor and clean the housing and motor impeller. Wear gloves, as it's always a nasty stuff what comes out. ;) Reverse steps to assemble the pump back together. If you don't hear pump running after completing all the cleaning, you may need to check the wiring and/or replace main control board located inside the console. If the pump seems to be running but no water is being drained - replace pump. for Maytag MAH6700A the part number is 34001320(pump and plate under the pump) or 34001340(just the pump itself).

Good luck!

Maytag Neptune Top Load Washer - Rinse Cycle won't run - Machine says nF

Sounds like the 'Wash water' is not pumping out fully,You need to drain the water by lowering the empty hose into a bowl & check the pump for a blockage ( if the pump is an 'electric one' check that it is working). TURN POWER OFF FIRST
