Have you called the Tech reps from the manufacturer of your band saw? I suggest you to call a tech rep. Are you sure you install the blade correctly?

Motor spins but blade doesn't

If there is a shaft sleeve available from Kitchen Aid you will need to replace that and most likely the chopping blade if there is any damage up inside it.

Motor turns but blade doesn't

Is the shaft turning...? if so then refit the blade . If the shaft is not
turning then you need to get the motor out and check to see if the
shaft and motor are connecting or not, can you do this job yourself
if not, take it to someone who can..T.C.

Band saw very noisy

This could be several things. To find the noise, unplug it, open the covers and turn the wheels by hand to see if you cand find where the noise is coming from - this might help you find the source of noise if it the blade is hitting something it's not supposed to. If that doesn't find it, you might try removing the blade entirely and running the motor to see if the motor is the source of the noise. If that doesn't find it, you might try putting a different blade on. Good luck.

Delta 1313314 motor runs but blade doesn't turn

With this perticular motor I would suspect that the issue is a broken drive belt. The belt is located on the back side of the motor, behind the plastic end cap. The belt is a 10" long cogged belt and looks like a timing belt.

My motor was just rebuilt and put back on by the pool company. It is hot, so hot you cannot leave your hand on it. Is this normal? should I be concerned.

Yes its perfectly normal on a hot day with the motor being air cooled. As long as the motor isnt overheating (loss of power) and has issues running your fine. Keep in mind that the motor runs by exploding gasoline and the energy that doesn't get transferred to the mower to drive it and turn the blade is expelled in heat. Same as your car engine (will get hot to the touch).

Acme juicer #6001, has a new blade, becomes unbalanced...

Hello, First, make sure the screw on clamp that holds the blade down is centering the blade correctly. Also make sure it tightens down firmly against the blade. Wiggle the blade to ensure it is mounted securely. If this doesn' fix it try your old blade again. If your old blade works you may have a bad, unbalance blade but I would suspect he screw on clamp knob may be somewhat worn and not securing the blade causing it to run "out of round" when a piece of vegetable pushes on it. If everything looks good with both blades and the blade securing knob it could be a worn bearing on the juicer. Try wiggling the motor shaft and see if there is any play in it. I have an ACME 6001 that is quite old so I wouldn't suspect the bearings are going. One other thing, does the bowl take 3 to 5 minutes to stop spinning when you shut off the motor? If it does then the shaft and bearing are probalby ok

Good luck with it...gary
