Question about Malber WD1000 Front Load Washer/Dryer
Washer is 8 years old and this issue just started during a normal light wash load. While in the final high speed spin cycle, it sounds like someone is hitting the machine with a hammer ! The other short term spin cycles sound mormal. Go figure?
Something is causing the drum to be way out of balance. Does it bang and make noise when it's spinning empty? Probably not. Is something stuck on the side (inside of course) of the drum, causing it to shake when spinning? If not, a spring or shock absorber (connecting drum to sides, bottom or top of machine) has broken or come loose.

This is not a Malber machine but the following fix has worked for the Malber washer. Try unplugging the machine for at least 2 minutes. Do not just turn it off as there is still current going to the machine .This should clear the computer. If this does not work, the imbalance may have overloaded the circuit board requiring replacement.

SOURCE: no final spin
I haven't experienced that problem, but is it possible that the machine becomes unbalanced with the spinning load and then aborts the spin, so it doesn't finish? Has the machine been properly leveled during installation?

1st the machine has to be completely level--also take off the top--there should be two springs at the top and there are also shocks at the bottom--make sure none hav come offf

Testimonial: "helpful--the machine moved so it may not be level. but the dryer is mounted on top of it so will be difficult to take off and check the top springs."

Hey friend, thank you for your post!
I see that your Frigidaire washer, FWT449GFS2 is not entering the final high spin cycle. It is possible that you could have a defective motor or timer. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend you having a professional come out to the home for the repair of your washer. -Matt
