SOURCE: It is making a tic

the noise is from the ptc overload relay located in the lower rear on the compressor, its a safety component that aids in starting the compressor and shuts it down if the compressor overheats, unplug it off the compressor and get an exact replacement and the unit will again cool and stop tick-tocking

Bunn gourmet ultra 2 message bad tic clock

The Bunn Ultra-2 originally came with several circuit boards, including the main control board and a small memory board also known as the "TIC Clock". This little board, screwed in directly behind the main control board and has a small round metal circuit on it that looks like a watch battery, but it is not -- the metal "Can" contains the timing and memory functions for the main control board.
There is also a small battery inside the "can", which maintains the memory when power is removed from the machine. Over time, this battery will fail and you will see an error message on your LCD readout that says ":Bad TIC Clock". In the past you could just buy a new TIC Board from Bunn and install it and you'd be back on your way again. But, Bunn no longer sells the TIC Board and instead Bunn wants you to purchase a new Main Circuit Board that has the memory and timing functions built right on the new Main Board. The list price is over $200.
You can now purchase a TIC Board Rehabilitation kit from the Margarita Guys for under $50 which will replace the failed circuitry on the small TIC Board. Go to ebay and search "Bunn TIC Board" and you will see the kit available there. It includes all the necessary tools, 9 pages of detailed instructions and annotated photos, free Priority Shipping, and free phone access to their Bunn trained and certified Journeyman Technicians for any help you may need.
This should be the perfect answer to resolve your Bad TIC Clock message and the working errors that come with it.

I have daneker grandmother floor clock that will not stay running.

Hello William Kitchens,

Typically the difference b'twix a serious GRANDFATHER
and the misogynistically dubbed "grandmother" is the case.

Every generation or so.. they need be SERVICED and oiled
(more often if you actually care about them).

If you still have the INSTRUCTIONS it was originally shipped with... therein you will find a section on how to hang the pendulum...
(the part that assures the "tic" & the "toc" are
PERFECTLY BALANCED (TERRIBLY IMPORTANT)).

Don't even think about reading it until you have completely squared & leveled the clock.

My BEST ADVICE... check out yelp for your local clock
CRAFTS-PERSON and get it serviced.

Build your own tic toc clock

You can try google but yellow pages may be better.

Search your yellow pages for clock repair or watch repair. Not many left but they exist. These guys don't always show up on google.

I have a knocking sound in the engine when I first start it up that goes away after a few minutes. 1998 Ford Windstar with about 116,000.

Is it a low down in the engine toc, toc, toc or a lighter tic, tic , tic sound?
The lower one is quite often the main bearings, rather than pulling the engine to fix it run 10W30 oil in it instead of 5W30 and treat the old lady with respect and don't rev or drive her till the knocking stops. It stops because the oil pressure has build up. If it is the lighter ticking this is the hydraulic lifters, don't worry about it, just do the same. Make sure you don't go longer than about 4000 miles between oil changes. I put Synthetic blend in all my cars and run 5000 miles between changes.
Hope this helps.
Sam
