HIGH PITCHED SQUEAK! Dries clothes fine. What part?

Took it apart a bit, belt looks fine, oiled up some parts, it says all over the internet that it's a bearing? Bearing housing?

You can generally access the unit from the rear panel. Try and lube the joints around the pully for the belt and any other moving parts. Hopefully you won't have to replace any parts. Good luck

Squeak noise

Before spending out on any parts, turn the machine off, get a small terminal screwdriver and run it between the inner drum and the front bearing. (open door, find where the drum meets the casing, put the driver in the gap and follow the circle round, so the head of the driver is facing you). You may have a bead of an item of clothing or zip tag etc stuck here and causing the squeak. The other possibility is that the back fan blade is squeaking, the back bearing or the motor itself. Parts can be purchase from BSH Appliance Care Ltd, I have added a link.

Loud squeaking noise when you start up the dryer could it be a bearing dull squeak not high pitched a little bit of a grind sound

It does sound like a bearing or at least a lack of lubrication. But it could also be belt slippage if it only happens at the start. If it is the bearing it would be continuous and slowly get louder and louder.

I have an ASKO T700 dryer. When I turn it on, it makes a high pitched squeak. If it's on for longer than a minute, I can smell a burning smell. Any suggestions?

you got a roller or belt idler not turning and burning the drum belt. you have to take the dryer apart and find the problem. if you need to lubricate a roller or idler use mineral oil or roller oil, do not use wd-40 or 3 in one.

High pitch squeak with every turn of the drum

Hello. The dryer has a belt running around the entire tub and that belt also goes over an idler pulley which keeps the tension correct. When you get that high pitched squeak the fix is to replace both the belt and the pulley. If you go to searspartsdirect.com and enter your dryer model number you will get the schematics for your dryer which will show you exactly where these parts are. You can also order new parts from that site if you choose. Regards, Joe

Maytag electric dryer is making a high pitched noise

The squealing noise is from the belt tensioner. Replace the pulley only on the tensioner along with a new belt. The bearing in the pulley is causing the squeal. Sears will sell this in a kit. The top and the front panel of the dryer will have to be removed to replace these parts

Dryer making a high pitched squeek, I took apart

I normally don't work on gas dryers but it sounds like the drum rollers are in need of lubrication. Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots or wear on them replace them. If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem. I will include these two websites for parts and further help: http://www.partselect.com/ http://www.appliancepartspros.com/index.aspx Both also have chat assistance 24/7. Good Luck, I hope this helps Please rate me, Thank You

My washer has started making a high-pitched noise while spinning.

Hi
to chek what is wrong follow the bellow instruction....
Check the motor bearings
If your washing machine is making a high-pitched whine or squealing noise while running, the main culprit is usually worn motor bearings. To check the motor bearings, remove the belt and run the motor by itself, listening for the noise. If it makes the noise, than the problem is most likely the result of worn motor bearings and has nothing to do with issues in the rest of the washer.
Check for Obstructions
Sometimes coins, bra underwires and other metal objects come loose in the wash and become stuck between the tub and the drum. Using a flashlight, take a good look inside the washing machine. If you see dents, scratches or dings, that's a sign that there either are or have been items bouncing around in there that can make a horrible racket.
Check for Grease Spatter
A high-pitched squealing can be caused when the grease thins around the bearing that's located under the tub. Open up the washing machine and check the interior for grease spatters or spots. That could mean that the grease has thinned out around the bearing and it's making the noise because of rubbing.
Check the Drum for Irregularities
Spin the drum by hand, listening for the noise. If it makes the noise in the same spot with each rotation, the problem could be with the washing machine drum itself. Parts of the drum can corrode over time, leaving it vulnerable to cracks or rust.

Need to know how to remove the motor on a Series 80 elec dryer.

The motor should be removable from the back and will require removal of the back panel. The bearings on these motors are brass "bushing" type, not ball bearing. You may have some success oiling them with a straight weight oil like 30w, but it may not last too long. Once the bushings start to go, it's usually time to replace the motor. You should be able to get another motor for the unit from Sears Parts Direct. I applaud your efforts!

Squeak upon spinning

Hi, I wanted to comment on this because I have the Majestic MJ9200 Washing machine front load for the RV. I am having the exact same problem and I cannot use my machine at this time. This is NOT an unbalanced load problem. An unbalanced load will cause a loud banging noise because the drum is off balance. There is something wrong inside your machine. Mine never had this problem before either and an unbalanced load does not cause this horrible screech while on the spin cycle. My machine like yours made the noise only on certain spin speeds, high 1500 rpm spin the first time and when I adjusted the spin cycle just to see what happened it stopped making that horrible noise. I washed another load and it began that same screetch while spinning and it was then in all RPM ratios available on my model.

My husband took the top off the machine and could not see anything evident but when looking into the front of the machine we could tell that is seems the interior drum is much looser in the washing machine than in the dryer. There are two drums on the front load. A larger outer drum and a smaller inner drum. The inner drum is what is looser in our machine and the noise is a very loud screetch while spinning the water out of the clothes.

Is your machine under any kind of warranty? Mine is not and I am waiting to get it fixed.

Good luck on getting yours fixed and perhaps we can both help each other out on this one although we have different brands of machines...
