Final Spin Cycle Amiss

Recently having trouble with washing machine either not totally getting rid of water from final spin -or- it doesn't spin all the water from the clothes and they are almost dripping wet. PLEASE HELP! My elderly mother is bent on going in debt to get a new washing machine. Just put a new pump on it yesterday and it's not any better.

My washing machine(Fisher & Paykel, model:MW058K,Pride 5.5,Smart drive 8,top-loaded) didn't spin at high speed at the final washing step to dry up the clothes as before. It could only spin at low speed continuously unless I switched off the machine.I found that the rotor of the motor is directly attached to the spinning shaft and no belt was used. Could you please advise what are the possible cause(s) and resolution(s)?

My problem is very much the same. If I have a very small load in the washing
machine, everything is fine. But if I put a normal to large load in the washer it will not go through the final spin cycle and the clothes are left soaking wet. We thought it might be the belt and my husband replaced it,but it's still doing the exact same thing. Is it possible the new belt is just to loose and he needs to readjust the tension on it? Any and all suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

After the "Spin Cycle" ends the clothes are still dripping wet with only a small amount of water in the bottom of the basket. Even after running it through another spin cycle the result is the same. During this cycle I hear the revolutions increasing and all seems fine until the end. Do you have any suggestions on how to correct this problem?

Same here, we had someone look at it a couple of weeks ago, and he just said it needed to be RESET. Any ideas on how to reset this thing? He wouldn't tell me.

The pump of nearly 90% of all problems,i had a pump motor that would only work one full cycle. The next load it would not empty after the first rinse cycle. The reason is that the pumps on these front loaders are constantly being used and build up alot of heat, being that they are a basic induction pump and do not last compaired to the old top loader that dont drain the water as many times as the front loader machines.I know this may not fix your problem but now you know what is happening.

Depending on the make and the model, especially if it is a top loader, try replacing the belt. when the belts get older they stretch and slip a little, just enought o cause your problem

Ge toploadwasher that does not get water out of clothes after final spin

Could be that the spin cycle is not rotating at the required speed to wring out your clothes. Check that the cycle completes at a significant speed to generate centripetal acceleration forcing out the water. Perhaps the load is unbalanced which can trigger the spinning cycle to repeatedly stop during the spin cycle.

Washing machine won't spin

Sounds like corrosion in the motherboard . Get an electronics serviceman to take a look, could just need soldering point to point connection. Hope this helps.

LG front load washer/ clothes still wet after final spin

The heavy jacket prevented the washer from spinning at a rapid pace, so I added a heavy bathrobe to absorb some of the water and to balance the load. The washer then spun very quickly and drained out all the water.

Won't go into the final spin cycle and overflows

For Dinkysouth:
Apparently your machine is getting power to the water valves when it should be draining and then going into Spin. Also, since it keeps filling to the point where it overflows there must be a constant signal from the electronic board that bypasses the water level pressure switch. If you can, you should go into the Service Program and check the individual items. Most likely, you will end up needing a new board.

Washer will not Spin during SPIN CYCLES

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. (consult your manual to know where/how filter is cleaned). There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.
