There are treatments (chemical) available, depending on the amount of water in the fuel. BTW, the caps on those tanks just don't blow off, they're treaded and screwed on ( I know this because I delivered fuel oil for 8 years).

SOURCE: have an oil fired boiler

These boilers usually have multiple controls. The control that would take it out of the circuit at 210 degrees is a safety.

You should definitely have a professional take a look at this unit before you continue using it.

The actual final solution was to replace the fuel valve/solenoid following which the boiler has run without failure.
The conclusion was that the fuel valve solenoid was ok when cold but when heated up had some sort of electrical breakdown in its coils, causing the fuel valve to fluctuate until the boiler locked out.

SOURCE: Domestic oil fired central heating.

many times the feeder tube from the bottom of the tank becomes perforated. the return tube is ok most of the time . try switching the 3 8 tubes from inlet to outlet and see if problem resolved. if so the the tube down into the tank is flawed.

SOURCE: I have an Ideal Classic

The solenoid is not opening the gas valve so you need to replace the gas valve, as for price I have no Idea...
But please remember to get a GAS SAFE REGISTERED engineer to carry out this simple replacement...

Why would their be soot on the inside of my fuel tank door and water drops out of my exuast

Typically water from the tailpipe means a headgasket is leaking or blown. Check to see if you have wather in your oil.

My Alero is overheating, and pushing the coolant out the surg tank, my brother said water pump, changed. then said thermostat, changed. then said radiator clogged, flushed. still doing the same thing?

Do fans come on , if not it is the $8 dollar temp sensor or the fan fuse or the fan motor.
If you have heat from the heater and if radiator gets hot then it is neither the raditor or the water pump nor the thermostat as neither heater or radiator would get hot
because no water would be moving in the system.

Why would oil and water leak out of my Lincoln navigator 5.4l engine

Worse case this could be due to a blown head gasket - however let not jump to conclusions. Where is the oil coming from and did you have it changed recently? Water is common from the A/C condenser and or over fill of the wiper fluid or possibly rain / bad oil change place that "rinses the engine" with water to get excess oil off. If you did have your oil changed / car serviced, take it back and have them check it. Maybe it's a loose oil filter or loose oil drain plug / bad washer on the drain plug. If you haven't have the oil changed recently, did you hit anything or did the car over heat recently? To see if you blew a gasket, check your overflow tank coming off the radiator. Pop the cap and look inside to see if you see oil (not dirty water / coolant). Also check if the car is blowing blueish smoke or excessive white smoke when you drive / rev the motor. If not, hopefully your fine. Post more details and you'll get a better answer. Good luck!

How do i turn the pressure in my hwc down

There should be ;a removable panel on the side of the tank, usually attached with 2 screws (top and bottom). Open the circuit breaker that operates the water heater, remove that cover and there is normally some insulation that comes out and a plastic cover insulating all the wire connections. The plastic cover may allow you to access the temperature adjustment or you may have to slip off the cover to get to it. Some electric units have double heat elements, in which case there are two of the panels on the side of the tank with nearly identical wiring inside and separate temperature adjustments. Reducing the water temperature setting for the tank will reduce the pressure in the tank, as higher temperatures result in greater expansion of the water in the tank.

LG LFX21976ST refrigerator. Started the day with a full reservoir of ice, was using it heavily to keep some workers hydrated. The last time I tried to get ice, none came. Per the label inside the doo

The ice maker's water supply line may be frozen solid. Do not worry... take out your frozen groceries and dairy products, and let your friends store them for two days while your completely defrost your refrigerator. If you don't want to wait, try to locate a schematic (parts diagram) for your fridge and take a panel access cover off to get access to the copper tube of the water supply line inside. (Warning: this can be terminal to your fridge so don't attempt this without the exact parts diagram for your make and model.) Ensure you are heating the water pipe and NOT the refrigerant line; i.e., freon, ammonia, etc... Unplug your fridge and heat up the (water supply) copper pipe with a high wattage blow dryer... if you were a pro, I would recommend a heat gun. DO NOT USE A HAND TORCH as the soldered joint connections may come loose and it will leak afterwards. (The demand you placed on the ice maker caused the compressor to run almost continually for the ice maker assembly causing the copper pipe water supply pipe to freeze... it will take time to thaw it out by just unplugging it. In the future, when you know you need volumes of ice... make a little at a time each day and store it inside a separate ice cube container.) You may also want to check the activation lever above the ice cube container (bin) to make sure it moves freely against the switch contact. If the switch contact is jammed, it won't work. Good Luck

try putting dielectric grease in all the plugs inside the headlight housing. Also dielectric grease on the connectors under the fuel tank this should stop the rain issue.

Ducati monster s2r 800 2005 after big rain nex day no pover after turn keys on

A couple of potentials here: -water in the fusebox -water in the ignition switch -corrosion or bad contact at the starter -blown fuse due to water intrusion I lost a fuse myself on a cross country trip in a heavy rain storm. I lost the ignition and fuel pump fuse at 75 MPH is a blinding 38 degree rainstorm across Nebraska. My solution was blow it out the best I could, install one of my spares, and parked her inside the hotel lobby for 8 hours to let her warm up and dry out. If you find water in any major contacts or fuseboxes, get an air gun on a compressor and blow them out WELL before installing a new fuse, or you're back in the same boat. The fuse box cover waterseal.... DOESN'T. (in my experience...) the Stick
