I am currently have the same problem with my ac adapter for my Super Nintendo console well you could buy a new ac apter to see if it makes a difference. . Maybe the wire are loose in the ac adapter then or there is something wrong with the parts inside of the adapter.
Hello, If the battery won't charge and the laptop won't turn on but the ac adapter works with other laptops, then the problem is the port where you plugin the ac adapter. Some of the laptops has it built in to the motherboard. So you might need to have it repaired by a technician. Or if the laptop is still in warranty, you might need to send it to the manufacturer to have it repaired or replaced. But if the laptop works without the battery, or it will turn on but the battery indicator is not lighting up, you're facing one of these problems. 1. The battery itself is dead. 2. the battery bay is loose 3. the battery itself is loose Hope this helps
what do you mean ac adapter start point issues? is it damage, worn off, loose or something? if it is relates to physical damage please have replace the ac adapter. But if it is loose then replace both, ac adapter and the motherboard.
remove external peripherals.
remove battery.
use ac adapter alone.
check if ac adapter has sufficient power or check if ac adapter led is solid green or blue. if not then ac adapter might not giving laptop enough power to power up.
if ac adapter led stays on but some problem check the ac adapter - laptop pin socket if loose or damage. if not then replace mobo.
You either have a faulty ac adapter; a bad power supply in your laptop; a bad battery; or a blown LED indicator light.
1. If the connection is not loose when you plug in your ac adapter try letting the laptop charge for a while. (If you are using the correct ac adapter)
2. Try removing your battery and using the ac adapter. If this works the battery is bad.
3. Try a new ac adapter.
4. Power supply is bad
if the AC adapter port itself on the computer is loose even if you tried different AC adapters, the motherboard of your system will need to be replaced. If the warranty of your computer is still active, you can request a replacement motherboard from Dell. Otheriwse, if the warranty is no longer valid, you either need to purchase a replacement board, or try to use electric tape around the end of the AC adapter to fill it the gap when attached to the port on the computer.
appears to be a loose connection between the AC adapter and the computer. Inspect the port on the computer where the AC is being connected for any damaged. If available, try using another known-good AC with your computer to isolate if the problem is specific to the AC adapter. If the same thing happens with another AC, the motherboard needs to be replaced. If the warranty of your computer is still active, contact dell and request a replacement for the motherboard
