The BIOS on a motherboard is essentially a small amount of programming that used to help start your computer when you turn it on. The BIOS software is what runs and gets some of your hardware started, eventually allowing the operating system to take over the startup process of your computer.

Password admin bios

Reset the CMOS by unplugging your Optiplex from the power cable & removing the CMOS battery.
The CMOS battery is just a larger "watch battery" about the size of a nickel. Remove it for a few seconds, put it back in & power it back up. This will reset the BIOS password & restore all the BISO settings to default however.

1. open your laptop cover.
2. open your cmos battery from its place
3. wait for 2 minute
4. Now, put your cmos battery in same place.
5. Open your laptop.
6. Set up your new bios setting.

Hello, i have a dell mini and is block the bios password system disable 12971 service tag 1ZGBQJ1

If the computer has got a BIOS password they only effective way to remote the password is to remote is CMOS battery for a few hours and they will make the computer forget any storeed BISO password.

Only attempt this if your are compitent are dismantling laptops.

This may affect your warrenty with Dell.

Sir my computer is biso jumper changed. system on. but my biso jumper 1to2 pin connected the not on. but 2 to 3 jumper pin connected the system on. only going biso screen only. not go to another screen....

you try to reset your bios at first u remove the cmos battery from motherboard after that you remove the jumper and ram and install it again. so i think your problems is resolve if still u getting same than you please revert back.................

Bios doesn't work and i cannot reset biso or whole pc...

take the small 3v battery out of the motherboard for 10mins. this will reset the bios/cmos

Mobo has led lit up but nothing comes up on the screen

Try the following
Disconnect all components including all hardrdrives and memory.Only CPU and on board graphic if available. if not insert only graphiccard. start up and see error message on screen. Then restart and press delete to access bios setup. swictch off connect only Hdrive and start up. see if you can access bios. start connecting components one by one and go through the whole procedure. remember no power before you connect a component.

the easiest way to do it is to flash a new bios, you can download it from the pc`s manufacturers site

Do i need a new hard drive

Go HERE and do a search for you computer model. When you find it look under Driver and Software Downloads for a BIOS update. You may be able to recover after updating the BIOS.
