Cycles but won't shoot a nail

Need to know the make & model in order to help you!
A couple things to look at:
Check the nail carrier & magazine - make sure there is not a jammed nail or something stopping the nails from moving all the way forward.
Also, check to see if you have a broken driver blade.

How do i fix my nailer from jamming

Parts are piston driver replace the point has a problem replace driver AND important use the right nails i think the nails are the nails are not big enough 40% chance this is the problem but when you have shoot on a hard surface the point of the driver will get 2 nails at a time and control part 52 that its not dirty or kinked. and the transport is clean.

Dewalt framing nail gun want shoot nail

Which model is it? What happens when you try and shoot it? Is it leaking air and if so from where? Is there a nail jammed in the tool?

Air is continually running but no presssure is building up so the drive pin never resets in order to shoot the nail

Remove head and check seal between headvalve and cylinder. If seal looks good, just remove head parts and clean/lube. Also clean/lube orings between cylinder and body of gun.

My brad nailer shoots staples without any problem but it jams on the second brad after being freed up from the previous jam. How to I rectify this problem. It is a fairly new stapler/nailer and has done...

Shoots staples fine but brads jam or bend. Check that the part called "guide bar", #35 on the parts diagram isn't getting stuck in the channel of part #30.

The guide bar retracts into the channel when driving a staple and springs out of the channel to guide brads.

The guide bar can get stuck in the channel if it's bent or gummed up. (Bent is likely the result of driving a brad into an obstruction.)

Paslode nail guns won't shoot

piston is probably jammed

This happens sometimes try holding it up against a board with the trigger depressed and then inset the battery.

The goal is to try to force the firing sequence to get the piston back to the right position with corded units this is simply done by attaching the air hose with the trigger pulled this causes air to rush into the gun chamber pushing the piston back and firing a nail out.

The cause of this is a misfire or jammed nail that stopped the piston in the wrong location so air will not build in the chamber correctly.

Hope that helps

Will work fine for one or two nails and then nails jam in the gun or it shoots two or three at once.

This is iffy... but PC nailers are nit picky. If you used someone elses nails, it can (and will) jam and mess up.
So, if Porter Cable nails are being used, clean and lube the nail shoot (with a few drops of air tool oil).

If that does not work, Invest 19 dollars in a new, 18 guage nailer at Harbor Freight. I have 2 of those and they have been trouble free for 3 years.
