SOURCE: Leaking oil from crimped copper line

first off there's probably no refrigerant in the unit. the amount of oil is probably minuscule to what the system has.

SOURCE: rear brake line that runs from caliper to frame needs replaced

You can purchase different size (diameter) and length brake lines at an auto parts store. They are inexpensive. The lines are already 'flared' to be connected to another line, all you have to do is disconnect the old line, and attach the new one. Spray the connections several times a day for a couple of days to make them easier to separate. you will also need to bleed air out of the replaced section for the brakes to work properly.

SOURCE: hole in copper water supply pipe

solution#2 is one way to do it however those clamps will leak after awhile. You can cut pipe on center of hole and (A) push pipe up and install a copper coupling which does involve soldiering. Or (B) you can get a brass coupling fitting called (Shark Bite Fittings) which simply slides over pipe and locks and seals on pipes. This is a fairly new product and godsend to plumbers and plumbing repair. Whenever fixing pipes in walls check for any form of leaks thoroughly before covering up wall.

How can I repair water leak?

Good grief, what kind of water leak? In your car radiator? In the house from a copper pipe? Or a toilet, a sink, a faucet? All these leaks require different fixes. Let us know where the leak is from. Then we'll have a better chance of giving you the correct advice.

I will tell you this, if the leak is from a "pin hole" in a copper pipe in your house you need to get a water testing kit to see if you have acidic water eating away your copper pipes. If so you need to replace the copper pipe and then get an acid neutralizer ASAP. If you do not get an acid neutralizer all of your copper pipes will be leaking since the acidic water has been eating away at all your pipes.

Brakes on 93 lincoln towncar seize up after driving 20 minutes.Had new front calipers, new brake line hoses and new

Do you know which one is holding on? I would if it has flexible hoses crimp off the rears with proper brake line crimps & drive but carfully as your brake function will be reduced. If it dosn't happen you know the problem lies in the rear if not you know its in the front. If in front uncrimp the rears & crimp 1 front drive & see what happens but with only 1 crimped the car will want to pull sideways under brakes if problem remains you know it is the other side, repeat with other side to make sure. This should let you know where the fault is if the fault remains its probably not any of the callipers or drums.

The water filter stopped giving water even though filter is only 1 month old. Tried a new filter, still no water flow

Try removing the water line off of the valve at the water source then turn the valve on and see if water comes out if it does then the line is plugged, look for a crimp in the line if it's copper. If you find a crimp get a coupling with Ferrell's and cut the crimp out of the line and install the coupling now try to turn water on and see if you get water if you do your set if not get back to me for the next test.

How do I replace the water line in the door?

Hello,

Find your route to the water line. Drill a hole in the floor behind the refrigerator and thread the copper tubing into the basement. Go to the basement and find the main water line and pull the copper tubing to it.

Step 2
Attach pipe to refrigerator. Go back up to the kitchen and attach the end of the copper tubing to the water pipe of the refrigerator. You can use a nut and ferrule to connect the tube to the fridge. Make sure to leave a little bit of copper tubing coiled behind the fridge so as to not disconnect the tubing when moving the fridge.

Step 3
Turn off the water. With the fridge all hooked up, go back to the basement and turn off the water. Find the cold water pipe and drill a 1/4-inch hole to accommodate the copper tubing.

Step 4
Attach valve to pipe. You need to attach the water valve to the main pipe. This allows you to control the flow of water to the refrigerator. Make sure you have a gasket to seal between the valve and main water pipe.

Step 5
Connect the copper tubing. With the valve connected to the main water pipe, connect the copper tubing using a clamp. This should be everything you need. Turn on the main water and you should be able to get a glass of water, but it will take an hour or two for the ice cubes to freeze.

Take care..

Marine refrigerator needs recharge w 134. how can I install a schraeder valve in crimped suction line? If I desolder line and install valve will crimp uncrimp with sideways squeeze? Or do I have to cut...

This is not a DIY job, You have to call in a refrigeration service man to do this job. Although you may know a little bit about refrigeration soldering and a bit more. Do you have a vaccumn pump to vaccumn the system to 500micro or lower before you recharge the freon. If you do then I don't think you would ask for any question at all.

Water dispenser problem

Did the man who installed it use plastic hose or copper pie? PLastic pipe can get crimpled (closed) and starve the water supply.
Simply move the refrigerator far enough away from the wall and see if the tubing is crimped. If it is copper and it is crimped- you should call the installer back to repair the copper pie. Once copper pipe is crimped- it is unusable and must be refitted with a coupling or union or some other proper repair.

Maybe this is all that is wrong.......
Hope this helpes!!!
