How can I replace the outlet for the cables on the back of my quasar SP 3234E TV?

A "freezing" picture sounds like something other than your television. Do you have a cable box or satellite box attached? They fail sometimes and need to be replaced. (You have an analog TV and "freezing" is a digital problem.)

No sound great picture

Are you connected to a Cable box? then make sure cable box is not on MUTE and audio cables are attached.
From MENU check to see that speakers are not disabled on your TV.

I have a horizontal color line across the screen...have sound .This is on Video 1

If you are comfortable working inside the set and can solder, try resoldering both the vertical IC and the input jack connections. The vertical IC will be a small flat IC attached to a heatsink with about 9-11 pins. It will be marked LA7837 or something similar.

Let me know the results.

No sound from plasma to home theatre

First off it's always best to start from scratch when it comes to home audio. LoL. Many times I've been in this situation.
So with everything disconnected. You should have your HDMI, COMPONENT, RCA(R,W,Y)
HDMI and COMPONENT are the exact same thing and in all preference COMPONENT is far better thand HDMI for the pure fact that each wire is in it's own casing and insualted to avoid feedback from the other wires.
Anyways, with everything disconnected we begin
From you Cable/satellite box- Run your HDMI cable from you cable box to your HDMI 1 input on your tv.(If your speakers were to work on your tv you would automaticaly get sound and picture)
That should be all that you should be running from you cable box. Now that we have one thing running we go to the next thing.
From your TV run your audio out (RCA Red/White) to your amp. Usually your preference but more than likely your TV IN on your amp.
With your amp now set on TV, you should automatically get sound from your tv. and if your running an HD cable box even though your only running RED/WHITE to your amp, you will still be receiving Digital sound.
Most new amps Should have a digital input and if your running and 1080iUp this one RCA plugin will give you dolby digital sound from your dvd player to your amp. Then running a video rca up to your tv, will give you the picture, while the digital out on your dvd player to your amp will give you dolby digital sound.

It's a basic simple step to get sound. Like a continuing current. So just as long as you have your cable to -- tv -- home theatre. Everything should work. Otherwise I would go and check your cables and make sure they are not faulty.
I hope this confusing walkthrough helps.

Cant work my freeview

The [A/D] button on the remote control switches between analogue and dgitial TV.

If this doesn't work you can restore the TV to factory settings as follows:

Press and hold the [Menu] button on the TV (NOT on the remote)

The picture / sound / features menu will appear.

Continue to hold until this menu clears.

Release the [Menu] button and wait for about 90 seconds.

The TV will go blank and eventually return to the original install menu.

Install the TV as you did from new.

This will clear ALL analogue and digital TV channels and install again from scratch.

This should be used if the TV ever freezes on digital, or if any of the channels appear in the wrong place or not at all.

Small black squares appear on Vizio 37

Sounds like a digital cable issue to me. Try connecting the cable directly to the TV bypassing the cable box and I bet that the issue will be gone. If so then contact your cable provider as the box or the incomming signal may be at falt.
