Open door and look up under the lip of the counter there is 2 metal tabs with holes in them. You have to put screws in them and adjust your feet to help support it. they thread in like a screw and should turn by hand.

All D/W should have what they call a high loop to help prevent back flow from sk to D/W. you can remove the rubberband and place the hole at the bottom take the drain hose run to top of cabinet and fasten will be fine for high loop any excess hose just tuck out the way

FDB1050REC2 no water

If water runs back into the drain then your drain hose is not properly afixed to the top of the unit under the cabinet. It must be at the top of the unit so no more than a half of an inch of water falls back into the tub when finished.

We are installing a dishwasher--have it hooked up but can't seem to get the leveling legs loose so we can adjust the height. Also, the anchoring peices of metal stick out farther than our countertop.

Hello, This dishwasher has the ability to be mounted to the cabinets on either side of the dishwasher.the mounting brackets can be moved to each side. If it must be mounted to the counter top, the mounting tabs can be bent by hand and it will break the front part of the mounting tab. This will shorten the mounting bracket. If you have granite counter tops do not attempt to drill into to the granite counter call a granite fabicator. The leveling feet are hexagon shaped at the top of the of the leveling leg. Remove the front lower toe kick panel. This will allow access to the top of the leveling legs, then use a small cresent wrench or a socket and rachet.Hope this helps.Joe Connolly

Instalation Instructions for Frigidaire Over the Range Microwave 850 Watt Model #FMT118EPB

HI,

Frigidaire makes several over-the-range microwave models that are all installed in the same manner. To install correctly, you must have at least 45 1/2 inches from the bottom of the top cabinet to the cooking surface of the stove to provide enough clearance for the microwave. The top cabinet must also be at least 30 inches wide and 12 inches deep. Find someone to help you, then follow the steps below to install your Frigidaire microwave.

Things You'll Need:
  • Stud finder or hammer
  • Screwdriver
  • Drill
Instructions

Pull your range away from the wall so you can work comfortably. If this is not possible, cover it with a drop cloth. Find and mark the locations of the studs in the wall behind the range. They will be either 16 or 24 inches apart.

Follow the instructions on the wall template to mark the location of the mounting bracket and the four anchor holes on the wall and the bottom of the cabinet. Drill the anchor holes. Follow the instructions on the top cabinet template to mark and drill the two holes in the bottom of the cabinet.

Attach the mounting bracket to the wall studs using the six wood screws included with your microwave. Screw the toggle nuts onto the toggle bolts and push one through each of the four drilled holes. Screw each toggle bolt until the nut is snug against the inside of the wall.
Pick up the oven with your helper. Plug the oven into the outlet and slide the oven onto the mounting bracket arms. Push the oven back against the wall. Tighten the two screws on the microwave faceplate to fasten the microwave to the mounting bracket arms.
Attach the louver to the top of the microwave with the three provided screws. Insert the two top cabinet screws and washers from the top cabinet into the microwave and fasten tightly.

Take care.

Dishwasher: How are the under-counter screws anchored when there is no room to manuver?

For the most part undercounter units are free standing I.E. anchored to nothing, however if a unit is hard plumbed to the water supply or a PVC drain it may seem it is anchored. Most units are just a pain to get a hold of and pull out if they have no rollers.

Bottom line is you got to find a way to pull it forward or tear out a section of cabinet to access the area you need to service if it has no front lower cover.

How do you anchor the dishwasher so it doesn't move around? There are no brackets on the front to anchor to the counter.

Open the door and look at the top edge of the washer. It should have 1 or 2 small straps to screw down to the cabinet. If no straps look for small holes to screw a piece of metal strap to the cabinet.

Built in dishwasher is not anchored and comes forward when opened

The solution I've seen is to epoxy a 1/2" thick board under the countertop (clamp it firmly to hold it for 24 hours to allow the epoxy to set) and use it as the dishwasher anchor point.

If you don't have 1/2" to work with, remove the lower panel and adjust the legs down to allow more space between the top of your dishwasher and the bottom of the cabinet.

Some higher end dishwashers have holes in the side to anchor it to the cabinets to the left and right of it instead of the top.

Load vibration's

If you have a load vibration on a dishwasher, one or two things are wrong and maybe both. Bottom line: your machine is not anchored properly, or your feet for the machine are not even. To anchor your machine to the space it is in, you will need to look for the metal 'tabs' that are right under the counter top, these usually have 1 hole in the 'tab' to put a screw in to secure it to the top. If you have a stone or granite top with no wood to secure the screw to, you will need to use some kind of adhesive, like contractor grade double sided tape, or some kind of construction adhesive that you can anchor the 'tab' to the countertop with. If you use a fairly permanent adhesive, it will be hard to remove if you ever decide to do so. The feet adjustment part is easy: all four feet must be turned to adjust the height of the dishwasher so that it fits snug under the countertop. this combined with anchoring the machine will stop the vibrating.
