I'm not aware of any "choke". I would put the orifices in and see what you get. Make sure you put each orifice in the correct burner or it won't work. They are different sizes. Smallest hole goes to the smallest burner and so on. Let me know how it turns out.

Ok folks i  have the solution.. after  calling  jenn air for  the  seventh time  and  faxing them the instruction booklet, so they could see for themselve what it  is that is says to do on their own  liturature, this is what the  came up with.. the literature that comes with  the lp conversion kit is  not up to date.  there is no choke ( aswers the  question  of why no one  had one eh?) they   have not yet made it widely  know  that  things have  changed.. ( one  of those  according to internal documents  things i guess) lol. well  folks  thats  mega bussiness at its  dubious best huh. well at least I have an answer and someone else that actualy reads and pays attention to the instruction manuals  wont  get  clobbered by this little  riddle. I guess ill  hook up the  lp  tank to this baby and  take her for a spin  ........

cross your fingers for  me?

Need help on converting my jenn air from natural gas to Lp! the location of the new orifice's and what size goes where??? I bought a conversion kit from AppliancePartsPros! Stove Is a Jenn air jdr8895aas

give the kit to the gas fitter that you will get in for the job
gas conversions are not a DIY job as it is not just the jets but the positioning of the air shrouds for correct burn

Need to convert my osburn G2 stove to LP, manufacturer does not make a conversion kit is there a universal kit that will work?

Ask your LP supplier to add a gas regulator to the line going to the stove and then you wouldn't have to do anything to the stove itself.

This is the solution to convert from LP back to natural gas that I posted as a comment on this thread:
After much work and little help from Jenn-Air or Whirlpool, I found a satisfactory solution. As many of you may have found out, Whirlpool does not sell the natural gas orifices to the JDR8895AAS separately as they do the LP conversion orifices. Instead, they recommend that you buy all 5 orifice holders that include the individual orifices. This would run about $120-150 depending on where you shop. If you want to take this route, the Whirlpool parts you need are:
1x740079621x740078132x740079611x74007816
Fortunately, because natural gas is denser than LP, the LP orifices can be bored out for a conversion back to natural gas. After a lot of homework I was able to find someone with the natural gas orifices for this stove that let me take them out to measure them. For some crazy reason, Whirlpool does not have this information:
Find a machine shop or a good appliance repair shop that has a wire gauging bit set. The natural gas orifice hole sizes are as follows:
Left front burner (16K BTU): 48Left rear burner (9.2K BTU): 54Center burner (5K BTU): 58Right front burner (12.5K BTU): 52Right rear burnger (5K BTU): 58
It cost me $25 to have these resized after I found the correct hole size.
Finally, to complete the conversion back to natural gas, you must flip the plastic screw-shaped piece by unscrewing the hex nut on the regulator at the back of the stove.
Hope this helps, because it took me a while to figure it out.

Flustered, first thing I would check is the power. If you are using a 4 wire 240V, part of the copper ground strap just below the terminal block should be removed. You would have black on the left, white in the middle, red to the right and ground to the ground screw just below. 120V from left to center, 120V from right to center and 240V across the outside terminals. If you have it wired right check for voltage at the spark module, should have 120V at terminals L&N. If you have that voltage there and still no spark with your burner caps on (this is the ground for the spark) you more than likley have a bad spark module. Call for factory service since this is new.
