Question about 1999 Mercedes Benz C43 AMG Headlight Bulb Sylvania
Details on removing the bulb assembly please.
First try looking under the hood. The headlight assemblies access is usually behind the grille (under the hood).
If you can NOT see the wiring harness you may need to go to a dealer.
Look for the wiring going to the headlamp assembly. You may see a rubber cover (connection is under it) Try to pull the cover back and reveal the harness end socket, this can be pulled off.
the HARD part is getting the bulb holder (spring type wire) out to remove the halogen bulb. Usually there is ONE end hooked onto another 'Hook', it may be hard to see as well! This will SWING out, one side of the wire hook will stay in place DON'T PULL just move it to the side, like a Door.
"DO NOT" hold the NEW Bulb with your fingers, use a tissue or plastic, the oil from human skin will cause the bulb to fail early - Breaking it
When you get the Old Bulb out place it in the old package to prevent breakage.
It is 'Possible' it could explode keep safe!
