Ads are the price you pay for a free email account. Yahoo offers an ad-free account with several other valuable features for $50 per year. It is called Yahoo Plus; also referred to as premium services.

How Can I have yahoo advertising entries removed from screen

Yahoo requires some form of income to fund the free mail services it offers, which is why they display advertisements in the free version of their email app. You can not disable these ads in the free version. You can upgrade to their premium email service called Yahoo Ad Free Mail. More info here:

How to get rid of ads on my screen when I go to my in box in Yayoo mail

You can either temporarily hide the ads that keep popping up on your Yahoo Mail page or block them permanently. To know how, refer to the steps below.

To temporarily hide ads (for free email accounts):
1)Sign in to your Yahoo Mail account
2)When, while viewing your list of emails or a particular email, an ad pops up, you can see a right-facing arrow between your email and the advertisement. Click on this arrow.
3)The ad will get hidden temporarily.
(Important: This blocks the ads temporarily only and as soon as you perform the actions like refreshing the Yahoo Mail page, marking a particular email as spam, replying to an email, or just clicking on any of the sections in the navigation-menu located on the left of the page, a new ad may pop up again).

To permanently remove graphical and text ads:
Yahoo Mail has recently come up with "Yahoo Ad Free Mail" service to enable you to get rid of graphical and text ads on a permanent basis when viewing your Yahoo Mail account from a computer. You need to sign up for Yahoo Ad Free Mail account before starting using this service.
(Note: Before signing up for Yahoo Ad Free Mail account, please check if the service is available in your region. Also, even after subscribing to the service, the subscribers may still get the text ads that come up on Yahoo Mail on a mobile web browser and the text ads that come up in the "Basic Mail" interface of Yahoo Mail on a computer. To know what Basic Mail is, refer to the following Yahoo webpage: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail-for-desktop/basic-mail-sln5171.html)
To know more about Yahoo Ad Free Mail service, refer to the following Yahoo webpage:

I am not receiving any e-mail, senders say I have

Be sure to check to see what email address you used in your CraigsList AD.

If it is not a yahoo email account, that you have used at CraigsList, send emails to that address from other accounts and check to see if u got the mail. If u got the mail then u're good to go and well ok, customers are mistaken.

If you did not use a yahoo account in your AD for response emails then these senders are mistaken (perhaps).

If you do have a yahoo address associated with that AD then do the following:

1. Log into a different email account (from another provider) and send yourself an email at that yahoo account. Actually get a few people u know to send email also)

2. Log into your yahoo account and see if u were able to receive that email/s. If u are able to get the email from that other account then the problem is not with the yahoo account.

My emails sent have pages of gobbledegook under a heading x y mail osg how do i remove this from sent emails

Hello and thank you for using Fixya's services.

The only way that you can remove the ads from the email is to upgrade to a premium or business account. Because the email is free, you get the pretty ads.

Hope this helps!
