Get the Haynes auto manual for the 2000 Ford Taurus at any auto parts store in the back it will have wiring diagrams of the entire electrical system look for fuse it is represented by a s picture, make sure that your looking at the correct year and model these books are at your local library if you don't want to spend the money you can make a copy of the pages you need instead of having the entire book,, (Having the manual over the years will come in handy )

There are two fuse boxes. One is located under the drivers side dash by the foot pedal and the other under the hood by the battery. Hope this helps.

Here is a copy of the owners manual which has the locations.

Where do i check gear boox fluid and top up . drivers heated seat stoped working

Manual transmission fluid level is checked through a fill plug on the side of the transmission. THe fluid should be level with the bottom of the hole. Automatic transmission fluid is checked via a dipstick under the hood. Your owners manual should have detailed instructions for checking both.
For the seat heater, check the fuses, then the electrical connectors and wire connections under the seat.
