There is almost certainly a reason the PSU has blown, these are not very reliable units and the amp has probably gone and taken the PSU with it. You are better off taking it to a dealer and getting it fixed. If there is no power on the seecondary and there is no short the transformer must have blown (assuming you're not trying to check with a DC meter)

I turned on the TV and it popped and went off and will not come back on

Hi.

When that happens you have usually blown the PSU. The power supply is the board connected to the power cord. If there had been a pop sound, power went off, and now TV is completely off, then the PSU has blown.

There is a 6 Amp 125 VAC fuse in the AC section of the PSU, that is the first part to check. After that test the PSU. Sometimes it is even possible to spot a blown capacitor in the PSU board. They look bulged, sometimes burnt and in some case you can even see a leak. Sometimes is instead possible to see a burnt area that is revealing a short, often in the AC section of the PSU. The PSU is located at the back of the TV. Power must be disconnected before removing back panel. Do not touch PSU. Capacitors can store and release heavy discharge even with power cord not connected. There are also 3 small brown fuses located next to the flyback. Those can be tested using a multimeter. Testing must be done by a trained person.

The PSU cannot be easily replaced with a new one. The part is not in stock anymore (part number was 264102), and it is not even easy to find on Ebay. The PSU must be repaired.

Regards.

Ginko

Panasonic 53wx53g is flashing led 5 times. This indicates an ic4511 issue. I read to check voltages into the board. There is none on the 2.5, 5, or 9v lines. There is also none on the 20v supply coming out...

If there are No voltages, this can be from two reasons, either there is None, because the power supply has "Blown" an important component, or there is a fault, elsewhere in the TV circuitry, that is shutting down the power supply. If all connections are removed and the PSU, still will not give power, it is most likely the PSU itself. If it DOES give power, you have some sort of short circuit that is shutting down the PSU, you will have to find that first. Also there may be some "Other" component that has "Blown" the PSU, that "Cause" will have to be found first or as soon as a new PSU is put in, it will simply be destroyed.
