Question about Goldstar DV7411N DVD Player
I have a Gold Star VC681M and need to record a VHS tape to a DVD. I do not have the instructions that came with the machine. Can you help me out? Thanks, Don Bowden
This device can not record from VCR to DVD locally not a DVD recorder. However you can record from this device to your computer save the file as a wma and then burn that file to a DVD and then watch the DVD on the DVD player. This player can decode wma files: Here is a site to get the owners manual from: http://www.lge.com/support/manual.jsp Here is how the page looks:

If it won't PLAY VHS tapes it must have a serious mechanical problem (if it even loads) or its heads are glommed up, so it obviously won't record them either. When's the last time you ran a cleaning tape through it?
Solve the load or playback problem and it will probably record.
Time and poor storage conditions are the mortal enemies of tapes. Store the in a 'played
