Question about Sony Grand WEGA KDF-42WE655 42" Rear Projection HDTV
I bought this TV new in 2005. It's just me in the household and I don't watch TV that much, but tonight I was watching a Netflix DVD. Near the end of the movie, very narrow black vertical lines that were very close together appeared from the middle to the right of the screen. I could still see the movie behind the lines, so I finished the last few minutes of it. I then put a different DVD in my player, thinking maybe it was an issue with the first DVD, but the same lines were there. I then changed to DirecTV... and the screen was completely blank although it was on (solid green light) and it was lit. I could hear the audio. I could change the channel, just not video. What do you think? Is this fixable? If so, at what cost? Thanks for your help. Carol
After 10+ years of service, it is a likely candidate for replacement.
