How do you get the receiver to palyback mp3s?

Is there a special way that you have to format a disc to get the receiver to recognize it or is there some setting that you have to set the receiver to in order to palyback a mp3 cd? I have dragged and dropped mp3s onto a regular disc and have not been able to get any playback on the receiver?

An MP3disc will play in a player which "recognises"the disc format. You do not have to SET the player for it.
A regular CDplayer wont play MP3discs.

Blaupunkt tv/dvd...dvd is not reading the disc

Most likely the disc is badly scratched or is a format not compatible to the player. Commercial DVD? Or home-burned DVD-R? They are totally different formats. DVDs can be made using many different audio and video CODECS. Players are designed with support for specific CODECS and will not recognize others.

hi ozzy, without asking the name and model number of your unit.... simply insert the MP3 recorded cd-r disc OR original disc OR usb flah drive into your unit and playback should commence automatically. if your unit does not support MP3 playback OR usb plaback then no MP3 palyback is possible. good luck.

Is model DB165 the same as model DB265?

Not exactly. They are the exact same specification apart from the fact that the DB265 is capable of playing MP3s and the DB165 is not MP3 capable.

This only matters if you want the player to be able to play MP3s that you have burned onto disk. The DB165 can only play disks burned in normal CD format. If you put MP3s on the disk only the DB265 can play these back.

Please do leave a vote for the information. Many thanks.

How do u convert music to naxa nx-144 2gb

When you say "convert," do you mean how do you sync it to your computer so you can put MP3s onto it, or are you asking how to convert CDs to MP3s so that they can go onto the player?
If it's the first, you need to make sure you install the proper driver so that your computer will recognize the MP3 player. You can get the Windows driver here:
If you meant the second part, you will need some kind of CD-ripping software. iTunes will do this, as will WinAmp, and many, many others. You can look up user favorite CD-ripping software on a trustworthy site like C-Net.

Won't read mp3 and wma cds

The discs were not "finalized" or "closed" - place the cd's back on your computer cd-rom drive and search the help file of your CD burning software and search for "closing disc" or "finalizing disc." Some programs will allow you to close or finalize after you have already burned them, but others (Sony SoundForge is one exmaple) will not allow it - you may have to re-burn the discs and select the option that says "close disc after finishing" (this option is usually left unchecked by default, because closing or finalizing a disc prevents you from adding any new information to the disc).

Alpine cda7998 disc error

Try cleaning the lens first, if you can take the top off and are able to see the lens, using a cotton swab soaked in 91% alcohol wet the lens, don't rub it, then blow it off with computer duster. Or try a cd based lens cleaner (Radio Shack).

Vmp508 verge cd player/in dash car stereo

Mine was doing the same thing for a while. I put in one of those special CDs that have little tiny brushes on them that are used to clean the laser. And after that it worked. It still does it every once in a while, but not very often. It seems to like mp3 discs more than regular CDs. But be sure to DISABLE MULTISESION when you burn your mp3s. Otherwise it will DEFINATELY give you the error 2 message.

Try lens cleaner first, always the best idea. If it makes a clicking sound when trying to read the discs, you're looking at a bad optical pickup.
