1. if you look under the console you will see rectangle slot pry open and unscrew the phillips screw "blue color". pull out hdd and reinsert (front of console under the disc slot) put blue screw back in place. attach power cable and switch on.
2. if your'e handy open the whole console clean with compressed air put it back and switch on. thats what i did with the ps3 i found in the dumpster this was even worse than yours because the disc player is not working, fixed it and now watching bd movies on it and play gran turismo 5. good luck on yours.

Poor air flow through defroster vents

Got kids? Years ago, mine loaded the defroster ducts with toys, candy, etc.
Otherwise, please create another post and identify the year, make and model vehicle you're talking about before posting your question.

Whirlpool gas dryer LGR6636PWO heats for appro. 5 minutes & quits heating but still runs.

First check the exhaust vent and connecting vent material for a clog. If vent is OK,replace the gas valve coils.

Gas go's on then shut off

Check the exhaust for good air flow.
Remove the rear exhaust vent and run the dryer.
If that corrects the problem repair the vent blockage.
If it does not correct the problem replace the gas valve coils.

No air flow through 4 top rear vents

Don't worry, it's designed that way. The owner's manual is pretty unclear about this. But the heated air only comes out the floor vents underneath the front seats and the "heat vents" at the forward and side of the rear A/C compartment near the floor. The cooled or vent air flows from the overhead vents.

Main dashboard air vents

there is an air flow motor that changes the vents and opens and closes them. unfortunitely you truly want to wish this not to be your issue because in order to change it the entire dash AND heater box must be removed from the vehicle as well as the a/c discharged.
